I think you severely overestimate how much people will give a ****. The woman who filed a fake sexual harassment against her employer for the exact same amount that her husband owed from running a ponzi scheme became CEO of Reddit whilst that was all ongoing for christ's sake. In this case, you have someone who is clearly skilled and is obviously being punished arbitrarily, I doubt it's going to stop someone else picking her up.

The fact that Fearn returned does rather suggest that something else happened behind the scenes.

Exactly. The club have made it worse from start to finish. What point do they stop backing Jose because his pride was pricked?

Really hope Begovic does well and challenges for top spot. Heaven knows, many of our players could benefit from added competition. Some taking their places waaay too lightly

Hmmm, three months. This will be interesting.

Begovic is a ridiculously good goalkeeper to have sitting in the bench, but he's no Coutois.

Throw in an already shaky defece and that has to be a psychologically shaky blow.

It's not that interesting IMO. The situation with Chelsea at the moment is, but our GK's not the problem.

Well, we'll see over the next 3 months or so what if any difference this makes.

Again, fortunately for yourselves, you have as good a back-up 'keeper as anyone possibly could have to lesson the blow.

This season has echos of the 10/11 season. We just come off a title-winning seasons. The board for some inexplicable reason decides not to strengthen in the summer as much as it should. By January, we are out of the title race and barely hanging on in Top 4 before the board panicks and spends £70m on David Luiz and Torres. One of the signings hurt our club massively for 4 years

In 2010 summer after winning the league, only senior player we bought was Ramires. Board put faith in young players like Bruma and McEachran to make the step up. Key players were either injured (Lampard) or horribly off-form (Drogba, Malouda)

In 2015 summer after winning the league, only senior player we bought that actually enhanced the squad was Pedro. Board is putting faith in young players like RLC, Traore and Kenedy to step up. Key players are either injured (Courtois and Oscar) or horribly off form (Fabregas and Hazard)

The resemblance is uncanny

On a positive note, we did get our **** together eventually in 10/11 and finish 2nd. We were one game away from winning the title outright but Luiz made a horrible blunder at OT to gift Javier Hernandez a goal 30-40 seconds into the game. Lost to United in the CL too

Begovic stopping you from being 4-0 down right now. He is most certainly not the issue. Ivanovic, Matic and Mikel are.

"Steven Naismith has scored 5 PL goals against #CFC - He hasn't scored more than 2 against other opposition... " - BBC Sport

Just sayin'

However, I'm not taking anything for granted. This is the Prem. Not even a 4 goal lead is safe enough these days.

What is going on? Just came in and saw the score and players ratings.

Anyone who is watching care to comment how players are playing?

Chelsea in control 2nd half, but looks like we've weathered the storm. but it's not over yet. 2nd Naismith goal was a bit of a peach

Well as expected, this season is going down the *******. Hopefully the people who were going on about how we are favourites in the summer will eat some humble pie now
