The best thing is that we've completely gimped our attack and creativity in the name of defense and we're still leaking goals at every possible opportunity.

This tweet makes a salient point. You had issues before, but have to wonder how the ill treatment of the very popular Dr may have exacerbated things in the dressing room too. Issues look more than tactical.

Not only has Chelsea's image taken a battering with the Dr Carneiro case, but the team can no longer cover for the club's off-field sagas

Makes you wonder how badly the board has ****** up this summer by not bringing in proper quality. This whole season reeks of the 2010/11 one under Ancelloti

So ******* unnecessary as well. If he really does want to stay and build a legacy, he needs to cut all this **** out. It works in the short term but over time players and fans are going to get sick of it.

HOLA! I went the Asda with yuse winning. Come back and yers completely collapsed again. At The Bridge.

As bad as it looks and Lee Dixon is making it sound?

He has always needed something to rally and lead his players against, but that can only work for so long.

Pep used to say, every 3 years the manager must change himself, or the players to continue. Ferguson did it for so long by doing both, so never became stale.

See, I cannot accept that. The squad is about as good as it was last year, arguably even a little bit better. We needed to strengthen to try and challenge the best in Europe, it was meant to be about us taking that step up to the true elite. Not so that we could look wouldn't be losing 3-1(and honestly they should have had more) to Southampton at the Bridge.

My girlfriend just watched for a few minutes and asked are the players losing on purpose to get him sacked after the stuff that happened with the doctor.

Matic came on at half time and was then taken off?

Man alive, it doesn't get worse than that. That'll be Matic lost to Mourinho. Can only remember that once before. Ironically at The Bridge when Suness brought on Jimmy Carter and subbed him 20 minutes later. But Carter was utter *****.

On the plus side, Dave and Begovic excellent again. Have to feel for both of them.

If Roman pulls the trigger it will be fascinating who you actually turn to - Klopp? Would he want to work under RA?

Dumb *** move to crush someone's confidence

Indeed. Begovic has been superb ironically considering the number of goals we conceded. Deserves to keep his spot even when Courtois returns from injury. Make Thibaut fight for it

If Citeh hadn't been so profligate against a West Ham team they should of trounced, the title defence would be as good as over. 8 games in. If it isn't already being 4 wins behind.

Absolutely stunned the way this season has started.

Exactly. There's only so long that you can put players in that position for before it will make them jaded.

I honestly think the big thing that Ferguson had was the threat of change. If you played badly, you could be sold or replaced by a youngster. You earned your place every week, and that was a different kind of pressure, one that players could keep thriving in. It's what made him mishandling Pogba so remarkable.
