Fiorentina wont let Jovetic leave on cheap. He is on long contract so will cost around same as Hulk. They already lost Montolivo on free so if they sell anyone they want lot of cash so they can rebuild the squad.

there is no way Jovetic will be costing the same as Hulk.

Bitter he chose Chelsea over Manchester United ;)

Not bitter, even if he chose United I would still agree he was big-headed. To be honest I am happy he joined Chelsea, could of been worse for United and him going to City.

Pep did not close the door entirely on an approach yet... See his interview last week. Although I agree that it looks unlikely.

Plus I frankly dont understand your second sentence. We are the only major club atm who he has a chance of going too. Doubt he will go to Serie A.

He repeatedly said a year, yet the papers seized on a when he said a month, and then corrected himself, and that now said he could come back. When in fact said he would go away from all football for a year, and then if a club tried to lure him out after that year he would start to think about.

It isnt unlikely for this season, its not happening. Otherwise he wouldnt have left Barca.

United and Bayern are just two clubs could be looking for a manager at the end of next season. He has never ruled out Serie A at any point either.

I would not call him big-headed. More like the way his agent managed to create all this hype around him and everyone lapped it up which meant the media was always hanging and blowing out of proportion every word he said.

Of course he is big headed, he created the hype and played the media like a fiddle, they are not his agents quotes, they are quotes from him, usually direct from his twitter.

Never said he ruled out Serie A. Just that I cant see him going there. I think the club are still trying to lure him, thats why RDM has still not been granted a contract. With the players we are planning to bring in and the spending power he will have, who knows he might be tempted to train again

The quotes have mostly all been from him, he would of known the hype around him and how the media would blow all of it out of proportion, he knows exactly what he is doing. But like I said, Chelsea signing him would of been my second best option admittedly but it could of been worse if he had chosen City.

Obviously he could have been instructed by his agent to make those quotes. It only would serve to drive his price further up. He played the media like a fiddle because the media is the one who lapped up his hype which basically gave him the means to do so.

I personally think his self-confidence borders on arrogance. But I dont think he is as big-headed as some people suggest. Look at what Rudi Garcia and his teammates at Lille say about him

Media lapped up his hype. Him and his agent made those quotes to continue to drive up his price and garner interest from the top clubs in the world. I dont think you should confuse that with him being arrogant

Di matteo hadnt been granted due to chelsea's own issues. Its nothing to do with Pep. Its not about the money, or the players (because frankly he gets better of both at Barca). His in depth interview talked about the exhaustion and the strain. That is why he is taking a break from ALL football for a year.

Hulk>Jovetic in terms of ability. But if you are looking to be cost-effective then obviously Jovetic is the better option. Dont see why you want to save money though, we need to overhaul the squad and we might as well get quality players in instead of trying to save money

He had the ego to do it. And suddenly you are now saying it was his agent instructing him, you've changed your tune somewhat since it looked like he was going to Chelsea.

Well it's not like Chelsea are only club after him and Fiorentina dont need to sell. He is on contract until 2016. Maybe wont cost exactly as much as Hulk , but will cost over 20m easily. Probably 20-25m initial rising up to 30m.

Chelsea Own issues? Elaborate Please

I never said he left because of lack of money. I am just saying that the transfer war-chest he will have at Chelsea as well as the freedom to reconstruct the club in whatever way he wishes might tempt him. He obviously had both at Barcelona but the new challenge at Chelsea could change his mind

But I agree that Hazard needs to shut up now and play football. Prove that he is worth the attention and money

As in whetheer they want him or not.

And again its not about any challenge. That doesnt actually matter. he is exhausted he doesnt want to anything with football at all for this coming season. Nothing, zilch. He wants a years rest, and then as he had said, after that he could be lured back to the sport. so thats 2013-14.

Chelsea offer Champions League though. So we do have some leverage. Dont think he will cost more than 20m tbh. Plus I think he will want to leave to a bigger club at this point so as to further his career. I think he will jump at a chance to play for Chelsea. So another piece of leverage there

he also loves Fiorentina, and they are now financially pretty solid, he is also far and away their best player and he now has a release clause of 40m Euros. They wouldnt not be selling for half that. Thats just bad business.

Well after Roman is finished there wont be that much money available to spend unless you want to compete with City who's going to spend more money. Though I think City will be quite quiet this year on transfer market at least compared to transfer rage in past years.
