Either it is just FM or UEFA have changed the rules since last year.

Rule that means Lukaku can't play:

18.17 A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 1990
and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted
period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with
UEFA. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been
registered with the participating club for the previous two years without
interruption.

The bold part is the bit that means he can't play. I hope I'm wrong, but I'm 90% sure I'm not.

Lucas Piazon: ''I'm excited to arrive at Cobham next week, I've been waiting a while. I hope to be at Chelsea until I'm 31/33, I want to enjoy a long career at this great club.''

Said some more encouraging things, can't be involved in any games though as he can't officially join until January 2012. But the talk is he could be involved in the setup (FA Cup I suspect at least).

Alot of people saying he looks like Kaka, there is a certain resemblance but I would say his style is different.

Yeah, I was reading that article yesterday, he said a lot of positive things.

He has some similarities with Kaka, but wouldn't say he was the 'new Kaka' or anything, different types of players.

He does look like quite a lot like Kaka though and Ashton Kutcher.

United Coach writes off Chelsea's Title Chances

Must say its a good change from previous seasons where everybody would make us favourites for the title and expect us to clinch it by January lol... its good that now their is a lot less pressure on us as everyone has caught the Manchester Bug early it seems

Porto are reporting Chelsea to UEFA and FIFA for alleged 'tapping up', which was expected given the comments coming from his agent for the past month.

There's a bit of political spin on this by Da Costa he's playing this as a great victory to stop the fans getting on his back for selling Falcao and failing to sign Jelavic or Damiao. So bare that in mind when you read through the last paragraph in particular where he makes Pereira sound like he was being harassed by Chelsea. And the part where he says 'Alvaro told nobody he was leaving' which was surprising given Lugano/Lodeiro's comments and especially contradictory going off his sisters facebook message of him 'head to London'.

Pinto da Costa has accused Chelsea have made an illegal approach to Alvaro Pereira.
"I had a conversation with him [Alvaro Pereira] told me that he was invited by Chelsea, but bad because they spoke without authorization from FC Porto, which is against the regulations of UEFA and FIFA," said the chairman of FC Porto in a Porto TV interview.

''They made him an offer and he was faced with that situation but he never told anyone publicly that he wanted to leave or privately to anyone. And the proof has been shown in the way he has trained and prepared for Porto. I hope that the next time he's on the field certain gentleman and speculators feel ashamed of their behaviour.''

Last paragraph - The way he's trained? Why was he left out of the Supercup squad Pinto...

Last sentence was aimed primarily at his agent who has been outspoken throughout this essentially blaming Porto for the move not happening. Pinto's spinning this into a situation where it was a 'great triumph' of Porto and he held out for the good of the club when really it was a personal vendetta against Chelsea for mainly poaching AVB. I suspect in January this deal will go through, his agent has made it clear that he will not renegotiate his clause or his contract with Porto and he will not even pick up the phone to Da Costa unless it's about him accepting an offer for Alvaro.

Not heard the last of this one...

Also expect an interview with Lucas Piazon at some point today on CFC TV, it's his first day at Cobham training ground so I expect some sort of piece on Chelsea TV or the website about it.

there is always going to be pressure on you regardless of whether someone says you are in it or not.

That's some bold statements to make. City don't know what it takes to win trophies? Firstly, they have won the FA cup, secondly, they have plenty of players who have won trophies at other clubs.

Article is originally from the daily star... make of that what you will. The fact that it refers to him as SAF's assistant makes me question the accuracy of this further

If he did say that then he is very silly man and i hope he gets proved wrong. Lets not forget, this is a marathon not a sprint if it was a sprint then we would have won the league last season. A good

Meireles's first day training and he scores a very good goal too. He says a few words on the weekend review today too.

Just watchinf ChelseaTV and Meireles's first Chelsea interview and a few clips of him in training today. The biggest plus was seeing Petr Cech training behind the goal, so hope he is back this weekend.

Out of curiosity, anyone know where David Luiz is?
