Wasn't a mess up. City had to put him on that side so he could make the play offs. Sounds like they wanted to keep it quiet for Everton to make their replacement deal without getting shafted, but UEFA put it out so City and Everton had to
 
Apparently Everton are bringing in Bony from City along with Williams, Bolasie and Kone. I think Lukaku is following Stones out the door.

Will be interesting to see what else Everton will do in this window especially if Lukaku is going. I doubt their window is done.
