Think Poch could be interested. Maybe Pep but would be a bad move.

I see Spurs are odds on favs, but I just can't see where on earth he fits in the Spurs XI mate. He's not pushing Eriksen/Alli out of the AM positions. He needs new scenery yes, but he also needs to be somewhere where he's guaranteed football, that's the only way he'll push on.

Rodwell was unlucky. Barkley on the other hand, needs to change something because he has stagnated

Rodwell chased the money when he had a real slim shot of breaking up what City had. It was a ridiculous move to how his career was developing at Everton.

Absolutely zero sympathy with how his career has gone. He made his bed.

Until Barkley stops acting a complete *** around town and really puts the hard work in I can see him going the exact same way.

Yeah he's definitely declined. He was a bit on the wane before he started getting moved around all the time for his best position too.

That's not to say he's bad though. He's got physical presence and definitely has creativity, but it appears that mentally he's a little bit fragile and struggles under pressure. Maybe with the right coaching that'll rectify the problem and get him back on track. He's definitely been missing something and everyone could see it. Would hate to see his potential not be fully realised.

Indeed. Unlike Rodwell, who has the intelligence, but not the fitness; Barkley needs to start making better decisions on the pitch. Koeman could have really helped that. Someone like Poch will, but he wont start for them

Hajduk Split. There's a blast from the past.

Need to up it a fair bit from the nervy tedium of the last round. Job done like but those were two pretty darn woeful games.

Kind of half want yers to qualify the groups for a kid at work who's 22 and has literally never had the opportunity to go away in Europe with Everton. He's pig sick watching Liverpudlians coming back with great tales so it'd be nice for the likes of him to finally experience.

Yeah nice goal, nice hesitated run, good header. Would love to see him hit 15+ Goals/Assists in the league.

Ronald Koeman is having a medical at Everton after agreeing to buy Gylfi Sigurdsson for £45m.

Amazing that you'd smash the club record and well over pay to add another of what you already have.

Everyone knows Koeman is just biding his time and looking at the immediate season but that one makes little sense at all.

No but it's amusing all the same, well for us outsiders at least :P

It won't be bad in hindsight if they get £30+M for Barkley. That'd leave it practically paying £15M for a player who mightn't be an upgrade on Barkley in terms of natural playing talent, but will definitely have a much better output over the season. Double figure goals & assists.

Forgetting the price. He is the right player for Everton right now which is all that matters.

Can those ***** go anywhere without starting ****?
**** poor proletariat with chips on their shoulders because they have to work a year to earn what we make in a month.

Frustrating officiating as per usual. Same old same old. Both sending offs pretty questionable but hey. Point against Man City isn't something to be sniffed at.

Only 2 games into the season, but looking pretty solid at the back but not getting carried away just yet. It's a marathon etc etc etc. Busy week ahead. First a trip to Croatia for Euro playoff place, then Chelsea when we get back. Then it's Spurs and Man Utd. So once we get the very difficult matches out the way, we'll see what happens. I like a tough opening set of fixtures though. Gives me a chance to see what we're made of early on.

But yeah. Looking promising. And nice one Mr Rooney son.
