What did everyone think of today's game? I thought it was going to be a draw or the game sneaking into Sunderland's path, but I was proven wrong and I haven't watched the game or the highlights but without a doubt i'm one happy Toffee.

Best think about being a blue is we're under-dogs in everything, have little expectations to come in the top 5 and yet, we still have such an amazing fan base, and a lot of pride behind the team and club. It's great to be an Everton fan, I've been to a few games in my time and to be honest with the money we have - we're a great team and with successful cup runs it makes it worth being a fan. You never know what to expect from the blues.

On the last note, David Moyes.. how would you some him up? really if it was me, i'd say he's one the best Scottish managers ever. It aint that hard to manage a team like United having an amazing amount of money and the players they have, but managing a very small budget of a team and being more successful then most clubs who have spent more money. quiet phenomenal

I'd say Fergie is greastest Scot ever, but Moyes has great potential to be just as good.

Today's game....was a bit pants at first, but thankfully improved in the 2nd half, with some excellent goals. And if we can get that scoreline, with 5 changes, against a strong Sunderland side, I'd say Liverpool should be vary wary indeed. The way I see it, there's no reason why we shouldn't win the FA Cup. We've already claimed some big scalps, so I'd say we deserve to win the Cup. And the fact that we've spent so little, compared to the millions that have been spent by the likes of Liverpool, City....well, it just somes up how fantastic a gaffer he is, and he's destined for great things. And the Everton "fans" who doubted him.......I'll make sure the words they spoke about Moyes, are well seasoned before they eat them so they go down well.

magaye gueye goal wasnt bad good finish piennar's goal was very good.good work by drenthe and then gr8 curling finish and then osman's goal my word goal of the month not just the amazing finish gr8 teamwork got to give them credit and finally anichebe goal was deflected but well played by pienaar 3 goals in last 15 minutes

Well done on the win, even though I'm a [well, at least I'd like to think] loyal Liverpool fan, I have to say it was fully deserved (Steven Pienaar is absolute fantastic for you) as David Moyes is really one of the best, and underrated, managers around. People mention managers like José Mourinho and Pep Guardiola, but they spend millions to be where they are.

Moyes spends little yet manages to consistently achieve a lot; whether it is finance-wise or results-wise! I'm looking forward to the FA Cup derby, but I think, despite our bad form, we can still edge it. It would be a bad result if we lost, although no doubt you are doing extremely well at the moment.

The biggest problem in the future for Everton, apart from maybe financial issues (although Moyes has them under control very well) is that you may lose Moyes to a 'bigger' club - possibly even Manchester United! Also, I agree, some so called 'fans' had doubts in the manager! That is disloyal, if we're putting it lightly (but I won't go into it much)!

Anyway, bring on the derby!

Also i'd like to add the fact with the little money we do have, look at the young players we have who could possibly sell for big money or just be a big impact on the team in seasons to come. Our team has some very young first team players, and it seems to be the key to success in the Premier League getting the right age group-balance. It's a bit like FM really, the younger the players the less you have to spend on buying replacements and players who will be old.

Moyes' doing a great job and hopefully sticks with us for seasons to come, I'm no doubt a fan who stalks Everton and watches every single game I often watch Match of the Day or sometimes I do watch the game, but i can't give a full analysis on each game because I don't watch it.

Bring on the future.

I spent most of the day at Uni yeserday and didn't get to see the game, so I can't comment on the performance, but 4-0 against Sunderland is no easy feat. Good win and I'm really happy for Gueye, he's been getting a few games in the first team and he's doing well or so it seems.

Jack Rodwell to miss Olympics and Euro's due to hamstring injury. due to see German specialist. Absolutely gutted for the lad.

On the plus side....we WILL reach the FA Cup Final

I was so confident that we [Liverpool] would win, but since Pepe Reina and Doni have stupidly got themselves sent off, I don't have much confidence in Brad Jones! I haven't even seen him play, before the Blackburn Rovers game! His penalty save was good, especially since he had just come on after two years without a Premier League appearance, but it was a lame penalty. And the way he kicked the ball at Yakubu, fumbled it and then gave away a penalty worried me. I guess you're in with a chance, then!

Phil Jagielka is concerned that he has slipped down the England pecking order after losing his regular club starting role following a knee injury earlier this year. Jagielka was reassured by Moyes during discussions last month that he remains a key part of his plans and told him there were few better centre-backs in England.

Everton’s glut of fixtures, including 10 in the last six weeks, have forced Moyes to rotate his three central defenders since that conversation, allowing Jagielka to come back into the reckoning after Sylvain Distin and Johnny Heitinga formed such an effective partnership during his eight-week lay-off.

Since returning to the team in the 3-0 drubbing at Liverpool on March 10 after two matches on the bench, Jagielka has started five of Everton’s eight games. Distin has started six and Heitinga five. Moyes now faces a big call on which two of the three central defenders to field against Liverpool in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final, Everton’s biggest match of the season to date.

Distin, who was rested for Monday’s 4-0 thrashing of Sunderland, is regarded as an almost certain starter, with Moyes facing a late decision on whether to pair him with Dutchman Heitinga or Jagielka. Intriguingly, Jagielka, who turns 30 in August, has featured for only nine minutes of Everton’s five-match FA Cup campaign this season. He spoke last month about how his confidence had been battered by his performance in the Merseyside derby and being a regular on the bench.

The former Sheffield United player is more likely to get the nod if Moyes feels that Andy Carroll will start up front for Liverpool alongside Suarez. Injury kept Jagielka out of England’s friendly defeat to Holland in February but, in the last of his 10 international caps, he played the full 90 minutes alongside former team-mate Joleon Lescott when Spain were defeated 1-0 last November.

(Goal.com)

That's going to be a tough choice to make. But I guess the stats don't lie when it comes to the Heitinga and Distin pairing. But I'd love to see Jags on the winning side at Wembley

Last time Everton won 4-0 before a semi-final (Wigan Athletic), we went on to beat Manchester United to reach the FA Cup Final. Just saying

Good luck Everton - personally rooting for you lot - as I assume many neutrals are.

Would appear there is lol. Around here got Man Utd, Newcastle, Sunderland, Arsenal fans rooting for us. Pretty amazing stuff tbh.

Looks like I'm only Everton fan on forum today too lol

Would like a match that would make Gary Ablett proud too seeing he played for both sides.

I get the feeling Everton will nick this one. Either way, should be a cracking game. May the best team win. :D

And we all know who the better team is ^^)

Though with these matches form always goes out the window. I will go ballistic though if we lose becaue of cheating, and I'll be unhappy if we win by doing the dirty deed. Just for once, I'd love to see a derby match without cheating.

And also, there's no excuse for Carroll today for not performing. He's starting in arguably Liverpools biggest game of the season and he has to perform.

And Spearing should've done much better. Didn't even test the keeper
