Interesting article:
Everton's share of the Premier League spoils for 2011-12 was just under £49m, with their top-half finish worth an extra £3m alone. The final figures,
linked here, show that had the Blues' finished 11th, they would have collected just £7.5m as opposed to the £10.5m merit payment they uiltimately picked up for finishing 7th. Rich reward for the impressive end to the campaign that saw David Moyes's side finish with a nine-match unbeaten run.
The base share of domestic (£13.8m) and overseas (£18.8m) television rights were split equally between the 20 Premier League clubs but it's the breakdown of live broadcast appearances that highlights where the Blues were short-changed this season.
Everton were on live in the UK just 10 times — the minimum stipulated, the same as Bolton, Stoke, Sunderland, Wolves, Wigan and Swansea — while neighbours Liverpool, who would finish lower than the Blues in the Premier League table in the end, were on 23 times. The Manchester sides were on live 51 times between them.
The Blues can expect another £1m or so revenue from their run to the FA Cup semi-finals and CEO Robert Elstone will no doubt be hoping that the team's top-six form in the second half of the season, coupled with the more enterprising style of play that underpinned it, will garner Everton more attention from Sky when they pick next season's live matches.

That's surprising. We played much, much better after January, claimed big scalps, had an amazing 4-4 against Utd...and still get only 10 live games in this country. Shafted much?
