Well done again to Kaarto by the way. I was a bit naive in the second half and didn't make the appropriate tactical changes to hold on to a lead. There was an element of luck in both sides' goals, but that's the way it goes. Well deserved win.

Sorry that i've let the English down :'(

Oh, and for future reference, after fiddling around with the settings, i've got the broadcast feature to work for anyone who wants to watch my games like we tried for that one (and badly failed). Apparently just had to set it to record all applications, now it works fine :)

Just wondering, should we start the next round of fixtures as soon as Yeti & Disclaimer have played or stick to the original week to week schedule?

Quality play Aussie's! The English camp is surely all at sea.

We want a whitewash!

Just looking at the squads it is an ashes with a combined total of 3 players from the countries who compete in it.

This was my plan, see, i could have just held on to that 2-0 win but i thought 'you know what, no. I'm going to throw this away so we can reset and then come back with a flurry instead of delaying the result' So obviously we'll win the second test now.

And here was me thinking Brendn was the site's resident stand-up comedian!

OK so I have to polish my knowledge on this a bit.

Is a win in each individual Test/round worth 3 points and a draw 1? Or is a win just worth one and a draw nothing, like in Tests? So for example if England and Australia both won 2 and drew 1, would that be a drawn Test?

And if we do have a drawn series, what then? There's no previous winner to 'retain the Ashes' so to speak.

One and nothing like in tests is my understanding, and the same within an individual test. That would be a draw if we each won two and drew the last.

I think Australia retain the Ashes in that instance as the real-life holders ;)

Well if the most recent real-life test is anything to go by that won't be for much longer :P

Fair point :S

I think if its a tie series, the captains will select one of their team mates to play a one off "tie breaker" match to decide the ashes!

Imagine the Steam crowd for that one! We may break the magical 5 mark :P

Chat explodes as a 94th minute England winner flies in!
