i've not come across how to do it specifically for one club but if you want to do it for a whole nation then it's possible and can be done by going to nation rules (your country) general transfer rules and changing the contract rules to reflect what you are trying to do.

Thanks mate, It wasn't the whole nation though, just the univ. / college league which is in the nation that I want the maximum age restriction implemented in. I already have a professional leagues within the nation.

Any ideas on how to allow that to just allow the age restriction to just a specific league with a nation rules type set up?

Just a quick question.

I almost had it working the way I wanted to in FM10 (thanks to the help of the forum). However, FM11 seems to have a new batch of hate mixed up for me. I'll try to make this as simple as possible.

What I want to create is the full North American Soccer pyramid. The Canadian Leagues (CSL, PCSL & PCSL reserves) as well as the USSF Pyramid (MLS, D-2 Pro, USL 2, NAPL, ASA, USL ADL Development) and keep the Canadian Challenge Cup and US Open Cup in their current format.

For FM10, I had to recreate the MLS, and ADL, but was able to merge the rest (and somehow create the MLS playoffs). Not so much in FM11.

I tried to merge the databases, but MLS & ADL were unselectable. I don't have the time (or the patience) to try and re-create the MLS playoff structure, much less the US Open Cup (which involves half of the MLS teams already qualified and the other half playing in a playoff amongst themselves).

Any/all help is appreciated. :)

unfortunately you probally will have to recreate the mls and uscup if you want to have relegation and promotion for mls clubs. 1 word of advice i would give is to make sure you create everything before you start to add any nation rules because if you are planning on using databases together then it might just be worth putting all the clubs and leagues in and saving that before creating nation rules and saving with a different name as this would in theory help to reduce any issues between different files that you setup. this is especially helpful if you want to create more then 1 countries leagues for a continential cup comp.

Much thanks Sammyt!

I suppose it's off to the editor I go. lol...

i've taken another look in the editor and it seems i was wrong with my first statement. you can do it for individual clubs by going clubs--> the club you want-->details -->and about halfway down it has a maximum age option, i think this would hold true for the club in any division they get promoted/relegated to but i can't see a way of doing it specifically for a division atm but i may be wrong. unless you put the maximum number of over (between 24 and 19) players to 0 for that league which can be found in nation rules--> fixture rules--> squad rules--> match squad rules if you want the bench limited aswell or first 11 rules if you are willing to let them use older impact subs.

Hi, when I create a player or staff member using the editor and give them an attribute score this score is more often than not different when I actually load up the game. Can anyone explain to me why this happens and how I can control the amount of variation.

Thanks

this can be sorted by putting the correct CA/PA for them, this would initially be worked out by trial and error but if you manage to ge *** right for a set of stats then i suggest you save this info in a word or excel doc and do this every time you got to create/edit people becuase if you do then you might see a correlation between the 2 which would help you for future reference and if you do find it out then it would definately be worth posting as it would help alot of people.

PROBLEM CREATING UK SUPER LEAGUE... Everything was fine until I readjusted the home nations teams nationalities back to Irish, Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish. When I test the nations rules I am told that they need to be set to English. This hasnt been the case in previous versions of fm and ruins what I am attempting to do. I really dont want to use a pre existing league as i have quite specific ideas for my own. Any way around this?

if you haven't already solved this problem then the best way to fix it might be to leave them with nationality of englishbut change the cities they are in to the ones they are based in in real life, this probably won't change their nation so the league will work but it might make the regens come from the nation of the city instead of the teams set nation.

Hello I want to add myself to the game, I've opened the data editor and loaded 11.1.1 database, but now what do I do? Thanks

I was working on the editor and got this message "The following competitions cannot have teams linking them using both Next Division and Other Division fields...insert competition name here" What does that mean?

you need to go to people--> add--> player--> then fill in the details in all of the sections,

if you give yourself a contract at a club then to check that you got put in the club go to clubs--> search for that club and click them then click edit -->staff & players--> players and check that your player is there.

Quick question. If you use FMRTE, can you set a CA of say 170, will the attributes increase to the appropriate levels?
Like CA is 143, and PA is 181.
If i said the CA as 170, will the players attributes increase to the level they would do naturally just quicker?

i don't use fmrte so i don't know however i would expect them to rise to what they would be at a CA of 170 either straight away to catch up with what his CA is or to gradually do it over the course of the season.

sorry i can't be of much use for your question but i would advise saving your game under a different name and trying it to find out.

K, Thanks. I'll try it out.

Edit: Tried it on a under 18 with CA 45 and PA 84. Just added a "1" to each number and waited couple weeks. Most of the stats increased couple points. So yeah it does change. Thanks :)

got a problem with my new "nations championship" database with is based in Qatar. I am playing as England and when a player gets suspended the game says they are banned for 1 Qatarian match but they remain permantly banned, anyone got any idea of how to sort this issue. thanks.

only thing i can think of is that if you've setup a cup comp maybe the ban won't go away until a league match has been played.

hmm well then all i can think of is if there isn't a league setup then setting one up might fix it just due to them missing a round of fixtures even if they aren't meant to play in them. if not then i'm just as stumped as you i'm afraid.

there is a league setup with just 2 qatarian teams in it but it dosn't effect the other compatition the thing is some of the nations dont get the same issue as England

Yeah man, it was more on how there would be a team of 16-17 year olds regens playing in the league when it contained all univ. teams, I've found out that i can limit the max age but it was just about trying to get a min. age without losing those players in other areas on my national rules set up. Thanks though for the help though Sammyt

Hi, maybe a stupid question, but is it possible to edit database of a saved game? I want to create own player, but don't want to start a new game... Thanks

you can use FMRTE, an in-game editor
you cant create your own player as such but you can edit an existing player (i.e. if you edit a 16 year old regenerated player who has no history, edit name, positions, attributes etc and there is your own 'created' player)

Guys does anyone know how to make a cup similar to the Euro Super Cup between the winners of the Premier League and another league?

Thanks
