Also some good news for facilities. The training and youth are just plans put into practise but the stadium one, although it'll take a while is massive news since I think at the rate we were growing we were going to be held back massively by the size of the Liberty.

I had to load v2 of my save since my main one didn't work :( However it did give me a chance to sign new players who are pretty good!

Very happy with that, got a Spanish/Brazillian feel to the team.

my left back (Anselmo) is only 18 but is as good than Jetro Willems already and I got him for 3.9m!

Still p;enty of time to change though. My DMs all have good potential but I'm not sure if they are ready for the PL.

Season 2014/15

Just finished the third season and gotta say that I'm quite happy with the season. We found our form in the last quarter of the season, gathering 33 points from our last 12 matches (losing only to Emile Heskey's York lol). If only the season went on for only a bit longer... whatever. We finished 8th and I'm happy with that. We were somewhat lucky that the final and decisive matches of the FA Trophy fell into our good form at the end of the season. Still I didn't expect to beat Grimsby 3-0 away, as they totally dominated the league. Well, end of the story is we won our first piece of silverware in front of 20.000 people in Wembley as we defeated Braintree 2-1 in a match we should've been winning like 8-1. 10 points, *******! :D

Of course all of this was down to some key players once again. While we really missed the strikeforce of Ryan Doble, our pair of Tom Bradshaw and Allen Russell did quite a good job, but tbh, our run started with the loan of Robert Ogleby from Wrexham and the signing of Nigerian striker Sanmi Olebusi. Our best player this season was Northen Irish youth international Ben McKenna, who simply had an awesome season. He spent the first two seasons on the right wing but switched to AMC due to our system change - seems like that was a decent idea. Of our 69 league goals he scored 7 while assisting a whopping 29 times. 11x PoM and an average rating of 7.55 are pretty **** awesome as well. Hopefully we can hold onto him.

Well, of course there have also been negatives. One of the main negatives is the free transfer of Matthew Gledhill to SPL side Dundee. He spent 3 years in our goal and didn't really make a single huge mistake (probably because I play in 2D...). I couldn't afford his wage demands and trying to keep up with an SPL side is rather pointless playing in the BSP. On the other hand things are looking pretty good for the next season. A few key players such as Ben McKenna don't wanna sign new contracts yet, but as no one is interested in them so far they'll most likely remain here on a non-contract until they are interested. Aside from having Odelusi next season we've captured a striking partner for him. You might recognize him, Colwyn Bay certainly does. Welcome back RYAN DOBLE!

With him and Odelusi up front + a decent Trequartista behind them (not too sure if McKenna will stay) our offense is looking lethal enough to try and win the league next season, if we keep our form of the end of this season this really should be possible. Transfer targets will be a new goalie, some quality on our WB positions and some more depth in CM and CB positions. Doesn't sound impossible to me tbh unless the board decides to do sth stupid again. Financially it's been a good year thanks to our success in the Trophy, but that was really necessary as we had to play the majority of our games at Tranmere's Prenton Park and thus had to suffer from really low income during our "home games" (200 people against Braintree was our "highlight"). Looking forward to next season.

Not exactly a Spender, but we're getting closer. ;)

I hope you didn't lose to much in having to load save 2 Kezza.

@Tuckson
Thats a good season Tuckson, 8th place is definitely something to build on! Congrats on winning the FA trophy to!

@Golem
Ah well at least a couple of trophies made up for the season and at least you're still gonna be in Europe Golem :D Also the stadium work and facilities is a great sign of progress!

Also Faulky. Can I put in a manager at Wales, retire him and then apply for the job and still get the points for being hired? The game never excludes the old manager so it would be fair.

lol no, that would be cheating. Ask Jono about the welsh Manager!! (you can get u19 / u21 wales jobs too)

Another good weekend for the Challenge. Great updates all! Added up the weekend points. Message me if i've missed anything or added anything up wrong!
Keep going strong all.

2 wins on the Capital Cup, and I thought you got EL qualification in your first season... wouldn't that indicate 3 qualifications to EL ?

Wait you think I'm a season ahead of where I actually am. I'm approaching 2014/5

I've had this sort of thing to, it sucks Golem I failed to get the U-21s, because the current welsh manager decided he would do it himself!
Yeah. Although I may just manage the U21s at some point in my career alongside the NT. If Gareth Bale hits twenty six and I don't have the Wales job then I'm going to start getting agitated because I'll feel like my best chances of winning a world cup/ euros early on are slipping away.

Okay so i've just started a game as Cardiff on my ipad (YAY, IT CAME OUT!) Currently in October and just got through to the 4th round of the capital one cup beating Blackburn in the 3rd round :) Not doing so well in the league, really need a player that can pass the ball, Bellamy is just getting to old and slow

Okay, so I have been contemplating this for a while. Welsh Premier League addition:

Looks good, I may look at the Welsh league seriously and may get a job there 10-15 years down the line :P

I did it last year and it was fun took TNS real far in terms of CL success, never won it but made it to the quarter finals a few times.

Could be a fun challenge but I think you'd be better off choosing a team other than TNS. Simply because it means the nation can grow quicker because there are two clubs challenging in Europe rather than one.
