The " I have a small question" thread FM13

Anyone having some ideas how to prevent/lower a similar quality opposing teams passing when they play a narrow 4-5-1 (the MC/MC-AMC/AMC/AMC one)? I'm playing a 4-1-2-2-1. OI's are set and yes I'm keeping possession quite well myself, just seems I can't get enough interceptions or successful tacklings.

This is more targeted as some sort of a brainstorming question before I just accept that my players need better tackling & anticipation :)

Whenever i have a successful first season my team always play awful in the second season. Anyone else have this problem?
I just finished 7th as Everton, qualifying for Europa after getting to the capital one cup final and losing to Man City.
I bought; Diame, Fischer, Muntari, Javier Hernandez and Emanulson. Now i cant seem to win a game and im suffering heavy defeats to teams like Fulham! SOMEONE HELP!

Is it possible to improve a player's weaker foot strength? I'm just having trouble finding a left footed right winger for my League 2 side so, if possible, I'd like to improve one of my current players left foot strength.

I was just wondering if players get match money bonuses for playing on the 2. team?

If I manage a team a team in... let's say in England and I want a new challange and I change the team from England to one from Germany but I play with a small database which includes only England, will the game auto add the Germany database ?

Yup, on the day the German database is added you'll notice it takes a little longer and a message telling you it's loading the league and the players.

i was wonder if someone have tactic where your striker scoring(70-80)goals in the season?

Was wondering if theirs a way to set one of my pacey strikers too basically just sit on the defenders line and look to get in behind them constantly?

Can someone explain to me how Target Man instructions work i.e. if i have it set up to 'play to feet' will that stop my players playing balls for him to run on to? Or will it just make it less likely?

Thanks

Ok we all now the near post corner stuff, does any one have a good routine for throw ins and free kicks?

It will reduce those t-balls played into channels, but not stop them.

I need help with my team. I seem to create loads of chances like 30 a game but maybe score just 1 or 2 a game, how do I get my team to be more clinical. I have tremendous players with good finishing and composure and have tried them in various roles without any luck. Team: Man Utd using Control and attacking. have also tried using more expressive and less so without any real difference

Enough!. Chances?. 30 chances?!. Ha!. No, you got 30 shot. Shot != chance. Shot can be all the opposite to a chance, it can be giving up the build up of the play for lack of ideas of what to do. A shot from 30 shots because everybody nearby is marked and the player don't see a way to dribble the defenders is not a chance. I'm sure among those 30 you got a big amount of long shots.

The problem you have is that your players are too hasty or lack options to play the ball. There's various ways to try to work in your problem: reduce the tempo so they'll be more patient looking for the chances and change roles so not so many players want to run all the way ahead and stay around midfield offering passing options to keep the ball or look for better angles for a through ball to the striker are the main two that could be combined.

The result is you have to see less shots, around 20 tops, if you want them to be more efficient in front of goal.

Fair enough "30 Shots", I will change it up with the tempo and see if I can adjust there roles to help. Thx

Well its a smallish question.....

Training?

The time has come for me to get more involved in the training, i have only spent a matter of minutes on the training screen since the game came out on beta and if im honest i just dont know what i should be doing, im too scared to start adjusting things and im a believer of its not broke dont fix it.

So i have been using a tactic i created for a while now and things are going well, bet i think they could be going even better?

I noticed on my Man U save and Reading save (havent really checked my Maidemhead save) the *** MAN pretty much only ever does defensive set piece training.
Now i could be wrong but i dont seee why a team such as Man Utd should be focusing so much on defending?
I have good defenders and with a team like Utd i'm blessed with good attackers so there are not many teams in the world i would consider the need to focus on defending?
for example i wouldnt see the need to focus on defensive set pices for an F.A cup game with a team from 2 leagues below me at my stadium.

The reason i really want some advice regarding training is to see if its possible to increase my teams attacking ability mainly goal scoring?
Its not like im struggling to create chances and CCC's and in many games i score 3 goals but when looking at analysis screen i can see ive had many half chances or ccc's that sre not scored and think that i should be able to improve this?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Steve

I am playing with SLB and they have no reserve, just B team and under 19. My question is, it lets me allow senior players play for under 19s, but do they actually play in the game and get match fitness? Or does the manager just never pick them because they're over 19?

Just one question, can a team play a very rigid-counter system with man marking and individually marking the whole pitch. I am just curious, cause I think the full man pressure is best employed while playing the attacking football (barcelona for example). I am playing with west ham with very rigid-counter-man mark- whole pitch system and I can't say I'm pleased, its just not right (the players sometimes mark the wrong man, sometimes my left back runs to the midfield to mark their amc, while my bwm is just watching (I play 4-2-3-1). Should I employ attacking style with this man mark?
