And this idea that other clubs are doing it because of us is bollocks. Clubs did it before then, and do it now, for their own reasons.

The only person responsible for Liverpool playing weakened sides is Klopp. Own it, don't incorrectly talk about something from 1999.

If you were really more concerned about Liverpool devaluing it, you'd have never brought it up in the first place. As i said, it's on Klopp. Own it.

NOW who's not reading? I've slammed Klopp for today's team a page or so back. And the club for adding in devaluing the Cup today. Heavily.

Clubs where beginning to go light in the Cup prior to the first World club bollocks. But nothing like the extent that followed when you set that precedent it made it ten fold worse from that point. Argue the contrary all you like. Believe you had no choice all you like.

But you're not going to get much of any sympathy from anyone else. You chose to not enter a team and that isn't ever changing.

*Edit* But I honestly can't be arsed arguing the toss on this further. I'm more than ****** enough with my own club right now.

Let's be honest here. Klopp has never been concerned with anything United do, or other clubs.

So what would a decision made in 1999 have to do with the side he put out?

I don't care one jot for your sympathy, it's accuracy I'm after.

Just amused you've tried to tie today to 1999, incredible stretch.

It's an even more surprising stretch that you'd think that I suggested today had anything to with what you did in 2000?

Either something got lost in translation or you're reading that with an agenda. I said it started with that precedent and became 'if Utd can pull out then ..... ' and it's got worse over the years particularly with foreign managers/ players in devaluing the FA Cup.

You've chosen to take personal umbrage against that from a Utd standpoint which is your prerogative.

But I wasn't blaming you in the slightest for the L'pool team today. I don't see how you made the connection but I apologise if what I wrote wasn't clear.

I guess Mane saw how **** we are because he's just missed a pen and Senegal are out of the AFCON. Now get him back to Melwood before tuesday.

'YES! Sadio got the message finally!

Just missed the decisive penalty as Cameroon defeat Senegal 5-4 in the shoot-out.

well i hope none of you are doing the dry jan thing cos the last few game i would think would put pay to that and no this is not me having a go

Its been a double bad day for me as Brighton also got knock out by a team lower in a lower division >.<

Positive thinking mate. One more local team for you to see us at next year!

There is plenty of the season left for that to change...

Although I cant see them ******** it up again. Its just a shame there arent any other decent teams down here in the south lol.

Usually I'd back Liverpool against the top 6, but so much is going wrong, and if there is a side perfectly set up to hurt them its Chelsea. All very worrying right now.

I would actually say the opposite. Liverpools brand of heavy pressing and movement-based attacking football that is underpinned by pace and quick passing is perfectly set up to hurt Chelsea the way we play. Lets see how it pans out but I expect a big response from Liverpool on Tuesday.

well from that clip its nice to see some 1 give a **** about there nt feel for him

One thing I'm getting MASSIVELY ****** off with is foreign players/ managers devaluing the FA Cup. Utd ******* started this ***** when they took the disgraceful step to pull out back in 2000 using the FA as an excuse. And ever since, clubs have run with 'if it's all right for Utd ..... ' and devalued it.

I thought you was more sensible than that. The FA wanted us to play in that competition to promote the Premier League. We asked several times to still play a team, allbeit of youngsters in the hope of getting through and resuming with the proper team when we got back. The FA rejected it, but made it perfectly clear they wanted us to take part in the CWC.

If we would have drew a lower side, chances are we would have used a rotated squad so what was the problem in playing a reserve side in the 3rd round? Also the reason teams dont take the FA Cup seriously is of the FA's own making. There is no value in the cup anymore because of thre money available for the Champions League. Teams will prioritise league position over the extra games and the cup. If they want to bring importance back to it then scrap the 4th place Champions League spot and have the FA Cup winners taking that spot. But no they wont do that.
