It might have been the case, but Pool sweeten the deal for Solanke to get that 19mil.
So if everyone saying Bournemouth overpaid, they need to take consideration that Clyne was part of the deal and additionally they made Warnock angry what is always a bonus.

(**** they have lot English lads playing for them...)

Genuine question, why is it that a majority of fans of other big clubs (Arsenal, City (although they're more obvious in this context), United, Chelsea, Spurs etc.) absolutely hate the thought of Liverpool winning the title? .....

Could stem from the nonsense rhetoric emmanating from a certain section of their English fans?
"We are different, we are special...".

No... You are just the same as any other British football fan.

The truest answer you’ll ever get Rh mate is contained in this absolutely bang on, powerful, informative piece I just pulled off facey. That goes a LONG way to explaining the Country-wide ignorance you’re up against

I don’t know who penned this but I wish it was me.

*No truth in the rumour that this was written with someone like Anthony in mind either.

I’m a Liverpool fan.

Apparently, that means I’m embarassing. I’m scum. Part of the worst, most annoying fanbase around.

A fan of a disgusting, disgraceful club that’s offended by everything and ashamed of nothing. Whatever that might mean today.

I’m unemployed and unemployable. Because I’d just steal everything anyway. Like your hubcaps. Like your trainers. I’d sell them to buy drugs, I expect. The cash I make from them, when added to my dole money, would help pay for my flights to and from Norway.

Did I mention I’m a mutderer?

Did loads of murders, me. I murder all the time. Never been any justice for my murders either. I don’t have to tell you WHO I’ve murdered, because you all know the names. They’re mentioned frequently among the empathy you’ve shown.

Of course, being a Liverpool fan also means I’ve killed my own. Turned up drunk at a game and just started doing some more killing. That idea’s been widely dismissed but I think you know better to be honest. You’re too smart to be fooled by actual facts and findings!

Oh, I’m a racist too!

I defend racists and I’m a fan of probably the most racist club ever. Because they wore some t-shirts that time. I mean, it was an ill-advised move by the club. But we couldn’t wait to do it anyway because we’re so racist!

If Liverpool ever won the league (because, apparently, we’ve NEVER won it), I’d be intolerable. I’d never stop going on about it. It would be completely different to any other side winning it, where their fans go silent, applaud politely, and never mention it again!

And it would be our FIRST league title. Not the 19th like some idiots say. Because REAL football only began in 1992. Proper football with Richard Keys. Oh, by the way, this rule only applies to Liverpool. Not any other clubs who may have won trophies before Sky TV.

Any league win would be made possible by the referee’s. Who are all in the clubs pocket. The referee’s, and the biased media, who all want Liverpool to win.

If there’s one thing we’ve seen over the last 30 years, it’s that the media definately LOVE Liverpool FC and it’s fans!

Penalties! Get them all the time us. Penalties for everything. Our players dive all over the place amd get penalties. Three at Anfield in the past 16 months alone! Because referee’s all favour us. It’s why we win games, mate.

I’m looking forward to some more fighting in Europe. Embarassing club. Bring it all on ourselves to be honest. Always the victims. Like Sean ***. You can’t tell me he didn’t deserve to be put in a coma. Probably tried to steal someones trabs. Probably said something racist.

Hopefully, we do a bit better in Europe this season than last when jt was absolutely hillarious for everyone else that we ONLY made yet another final. ******* laughable that! A real club would have won it! Won it for the aecond time because the first four don’t count now or something back in a time when it wasn’t proper football.

Had we won it, it would’ve been just another reason for us to act like we’re better than everyone else somehow. By singing songs about OUR players, OUR manager and OUR club.

Or by making banners. Actually making them by hand. With witty and inventive words. By ourselves. Like a bunch of *****!

Having an anthem that gets sung at the start and end of every single game. Haha. The ******* kip of it! An anthem that’s secretly sung not for our players, but to show how much better we are than your club. Because that’s more important.

Always act like we’re different us as well. ‘We’re not English, We are Scouse!’ some sing. Does my head in that. Why can’t we all get behind the National side, banding together with those who still say we killed our own? Beats me?

I mean, it’s not like there was a very real line drawn in the sand 30 years ago is it? It’s not like the rest of the Country actually wemt out of their ******* way to continually drag anyone’s name through the mud. It’s not like it’s STILL going on or anything, is it?

Disgusting, abhorrent, racist club supported by Norwegians who killed their own. Who act like the Country’s against them somehow, even when there’s only a whole ******* stack of evidence going back 30 years to back up that claim.

Not surprised no one wants us to win the League!

Yanno I almost want to win the FA Cup more tham anything this year.

It’d be so fitting the 30th anny as we near the end of this horrendous fight with the prosecutions starting next week.(Which we’ll leave WELL alone ta so as not to risk prejudicing anything they could use against the family’s.).

As for any one calling themselves a L’pool ‘supporter’ who dismisses the Cup/ doesn’t want to be in it et al ..... my contempt for you couldn’t be higher.

Up the 96 reason’s to ALWAYS try win the Cup Reds!

Apart from the youngsters terrible all-round performance from the team. Couldn't even string more than 5 passes together, certain players will probably be moved on in the summer and for good reason. Sturridge is finished at the high level well he was lazy and disinterested along with Moreno who was such a step down from Robbo. Keita honestly has been such a big disappointment so far this was a chance to stake a claim for the first team but he was slow and pedestrian and was hiding from the ball. He needs to step up big time. Klopp disrespected the FA cup for me and I feel sorry for the traveling fans tonight. Waste of time.

Gambled far to much on the team tonight against a good Wolves side.

Jamie Carragher in the papers today.

Anyone disrespecting the Cup should remember football is about trophies.

I would ask Premier League chairmen and managers justifying mass changes today, what is the worst that could happen if you treat the FA Cup with more respect and play a few extra fixtures this season?

It is a trophy. Football, for as long as I have loved it, played it and watched it, is about winning trophies.
The sooner those handing in the team sheets today remember this, and get back in touch with how they felt as supporters when seeing their side on an extended cup run, the better

Yeah Liverpool looked like a side that didn't want to win that tonight, both in terms of selection and performance.

However just need to give a nod of appreciation and approval to the 16 year old lad that came on in replace of Lovren. He looked really calm and composed but also has a lot of confidence with the ball also. I was really impressed with him have to say, considering Lovren looks injured now he may be needed some more.

There’s not many managers/ clubs that do have much of any respect for the FA Cup today. We’ve just seen that in glorious technicolour again all around the Country all weekend. Even those that progressed. Don’t need a Carra bump to hammer home none of the ****** are arsed when they go out.

What I’m arsed about is the F disgrace I’m still not home from cramped the back of a car with 4 other goosed, F off lads. From the manager on down yers all can go F yerselves tonight. NOT in this competition and its significance and importance to a club forever inextricably tied to it.

And ANY Red ‘happy’ we’re out the Cup, for whatever F up reason they try justify it with, can go F themselves too. If you have to be told just how important the FA Cup is to this City, this football club, and Liverpudlians after all we’ve been through in the competition, then yers aren’t fit to be part of the family. Pleas F off to some no-mark club that deserves you!

Up the ‘F disgraceful, need a SERIOUS lesson on 96 reasons why you again BADLY insulted us all the Cup’ Reds.

Just watched both goals we conceded and **** its a night and day the diff between Ali and Mingo. Even the first how slow and hesitant he was off his line that their No.9 had time to look at the ball and pick his corner, watching him come of his line feels like his lagging in a video game Alisson wouldve smothered him. The 2nd was apparently a wonder strike, It wasnt even in the corner ffs but Mingo's terrible footwork and positioning made sure it went in. Honestly he is the worst 1st choice GK we have had in our history, took ****** 5 years to replace him. 5 years baffling. Good pro but he isnt even bottom level PL level.

Keita and Fred fighting it out for the worst CM signing this season followed closely by Jorginho.

Nah Jorginho has actually been pretty good. Keita and Fred have been pony, Keita in particular given all the touting about being better than Pogba (which I said at the time wasn't true, very talented though he is)

Also if you rotate in teh cup ( and I don't mean 4-5 changes, I mean massive wholesale side changes), you absolutely have to win, there are no excuses, its the FA cup. Actually glad we've drawn Arsenal, nice and full blooded, full strength teams

Keita be fine. We know he’s a top drawer, unique two-way talent. A tough 6 months isn’t changing that. Just taking a lot longer to adapt. Both to the new Country and the mad complexities of playing midfield under Klopp and all the un-typical thimgs we ask of our midfielders. It’s been a massive change for Fabinho from what he used to in Monaco to fully get everything down. Which he’s still learning. He’s still out of position at times as well as he’s improving game-by-game and still needs someone alongside him helping him theough right now. Oxo-Chambo last season found it a massive culture shock to the simplistic way in comparison he’d been brought up with under Wenger. Took him until the second half of the season of learning and adapting his game. And he was by far and away our best and most integral midfielder flourishing the form of his life come the season’s end. He’d have been front and centre for both L’pool and England this year all things being equal.

Not overly concerned with Naby taking his time at all personally in virw of the long game there. Absolutely mad the amount of L’pool fans STILL not learning who have written him off and want him binning. All people see now is a fee and expect imstant results like they get off video games. And have no paitience when that doesn’t happen. If only real life was that simple .....

Where I am concerned is his attitude off the pitch. By all accounts they’re still not enamoured, naturally, with his almost total lack of English. It didn’t go down well at all when he tipped up the first day of pre-season not being able to speak a word after having a years notice to start learning and preparing. That IS on him and is totally inexcusable.

No real worries at his slow start on the pitch personally. Forms temporary and all that as to his talent. And I’d imagine the back trouble hasn’t helped him there either. But he really does need to start pushing himself to come out of his shell and fully assimilate in both this real tight-nit squad and English life in gemeral.

I haven’t seen anything back but I had a heated text exchange with good mate over the second in particular last night. I was high up in the corner more or less looking right behind that and Mignolet’s positioning to me was shocking. He was inviting the strike by sranding the ither side of his goal and leaving a massive gap. Was screaming for him to move over as that move developed. But my friend wouldn’t have it being on him and it just being a superb web and ooor defending. Need to see it again I guess.

That’s one massive positive to take from last night. Bar injury, we’ll NEVER have to suffer through him in our nets again.

Cup is still taken very seriously here since it gives Europa League entry. Obviously the problem you have is top teams have that entry already guaranteed.

The only answer I see is to give the 4th CL spot to the Cup winners as an incentive.

The complete League wide disregard/ disrespect for the FA Cup now has reached the same levels as the League Cup. With a whole generation of football fans now conditioned to believe the domestic cups aren’t important, major trophies.

What the FA Cup has become today is sad beyond belief.

L’pool were far from the only team to flip their team this weekend. Even Wolves did it last night the same game! The bottom 3 the PL and the top 3 the Chanpionship all put out sides with no other aim than to get knocked out at the earliest opportunity. City made 9 changes. Tottenham a slew too. Which to some extent you can understand with the massive financial stakes both at the top of the PL and the bottom/ top of the Championship trying to get into the PL.

But then you’ve sides like Bournemouth, Leicester and Wolves. They aren’t in any fear of going down or challenging for league honours so why are they resting so many players?

It simply boils down to money and the rewards for winning the Cup not being anywhere near as attractive as a higher placed PL finish. Which is so increadibly sad and wrong where SO many sides would rather be knocked out of the FA Cuo at the earliest opportunity rather than have the thrill and excitement of a Cup run and possible glory.

The FA have to take a huge slice of the blame in their premier tournamount now being denegrated by so many clubs to a second-rate one.

It started with thevUtd/ WC bid disgrace. Then the complete devaluing of the final by holding semi-finals at Wembley. Moving the final to a Sat’day evening for ‘prine-time’ TV. With most people now not arsed at all in having that disrupt their Saturday evening and going out over watching thr FA Cup final.

Now this past weekend, the third round of the FA Cup, we had a grand total of SIX out of 32 ties played at 3 PM on Saturday. A day that always used to be the best and most exciting day in the football calendar. Now, it’s spread over 4 days with absolutely mad KO times to suit foreign TV. Which in turn has lead to fans revolting and leaving grounds half empty that would traditionally have been sold out on third round Saturday. It barely felt like we were involved in the excitement this weekend having to wait unil Monday night. With that and going out, I don’t feel a part of this seasons competition at all.

The FA have sold the Cups soul and it starts with them.

They’re as much to blame as anyone for a competition that used to carry almost as much prestige as the league title, when the whole Country stopped for the final, WHOEVER was playing, being now viewed as a second-rate tournament very few clubs are interested in.

The only way I can see the Cup being revived is to give the winners one of our 4 CL slots. Which is each individual Country’s perigative as to how they distribute them.

Without that incentive, when a higher league placing can earn you more than a successful Cup run; I can only see things getting worse sadly and the Cup becoming even less significant as it is now (disgracefully) viewed today.
