Bad decision frok Gomez to not head it away. But biggest blame I think is to Hendo. He did not track his man back. Stayed to watch the ball.

All mdifield organization was off + Taa not puting any pressure.

Better than Tuesday but another easily forgettable half.

Better the last 10 mins or so. Needs to quicken up like that this half.

Looks made for Jota and Taki as these tire.

Felt very soft penality. Yes he hit him softly, but not the way Salah threw himself on the ground.

Playd well, but hate we geniuen foul is not given if player is not overacting

No such thing as a ‘soft penalty’ mate. Just a modern day media/ fan excuse.

You either foul or you don’t. And he clearly fouled. He’ll, he even turned the ref immediately looking guilty.

Bar an obscene moment from big Shaq, another easily forgettable game but these ridiculous Reds man. No matter what obstacles are put in their way (kudos to Phillips BTW. Sound game), they invariably always find a way to get the W more than any other side in football.

63 F games at Fortress Anfield unbeaten the league and counting. Just mind-blowing.

Just like last Sat'day against Sheff. Utd, these are the games that win you titles.

Up the F top the league Menatality Monster Reds!

MOTM take a bow Nat Phillips him and Gomez worked so well together making sure they both covered each other's weaknesses. Haller waste of space and got dominated by Phillips and Gomez as always on the cover to deal with Phillips lack of pace.

Defo. Always have reservations with Nat and his obvious limitations at any level but he was sound today and boxed things superbly.

Credit to him.

He was highly rated coming through but got injured when he was supposed to get his opportunity. He is a defenders defender, not the best on the ball, and lacks recovery pace but he is positionally sound and will block and get his head to nearly everything.

Mate, Nat’s never been highly rated at ours. He’s the very definition of mediocrity and was out the door this summer if the fee had been met. Rhys has a definitive plan with his development. Nat was loaned for exposure to sell. Rhys, Tom Clayton, Sepp ..... they all have something different and can play. Nat’s just a bang average stopper.

But I tip my hat to him today. Great game and here’s to more if he’s called on again.

Just watching the MOTD repeat ..... NO surprise that the utter gobshite that is Danny Murphy joined Shearer and David Moyes Football GENIUS! in painting Mo as a diver yet again. *Eye roll.

Forget the fact he both clips his foot and pushes him over. Do penos get any clearer?

Be a different F story if it was England’s golden boy Harry Keane! Two faced gobshites.

Let the fume continue to roll!

I thought the Ev were going unbeaten?

Just catching up on Tony Cascarino’s disgraceful piece on Mo.

There’s a patent racist, xenophobic agenda going on from large parts of the right wing media here and it stinks.

Mo, the dirty cheating Arab, despite him being one of the humblest, nicest human beings walking. But Harry Kane and co are good old English boys.

Stinks.

Having got over not being in Milan right now (****** COVID!!!!!. *Calms), I'm really looking forward to tonight's game in Bergamo which is fixing to be a belter goal-fest.

Atalanta has been the most attractive and fun side to watch in Serie A by a Country mile over the last few years. (Nearly a 100 goals scored last year which was the most in Serie A for 60 odd years!). Even if we had van Dijk and Thiago available tonight, stopping them from scoring would be a heck of a job. They are THAT good offensively. The little short **** Argentinian #10 playmaker who drifts wherever he wants is a superb player. How he's not at a bigger club in Europe is beyond me? Superb dictating the play and creating. But he has absolutely ZERO interest going the other way Which is the rub with them. As awesome as they are attacking wise, they can't defend for ****. They are Keegan's Newcastle. With the attitude of 'You score 5, we'll score 6!'

This could literally be any score. 5-3/ 4-2/ take your pick. Really is fixing to be a belter evenings entertainment. (Having said all that and built up a goal-filled belter, it'll probably be a dire 0-0 now haha.).

Up the top the group Reds!

Man the faith shown in both Curtis, again, and Rhys on what's a massive night against a superb attacking side ...... Absolutely awesome confidence boost for both those excellent young men.

And the bench looking that little bit stronger again with Nick the Greek, Matip and Naby back.

Straight into these Redmen! Let's get this group as good as boxed this evening.

Nottin to see here.

Just the World Champions doing what they do. Taking the P in Europe.

Time for a brew.

Game reminded me of that Roma Quarter final tie were they lined up in to play to our strengths. Suicidal from Atlanta to leave our front three one on one and a high line against them. Gomez once again excellent with his reading of the game and kept their striker relatively quiet.
