Looks good!
But wouldn't it be better with Borini as a Striker/Poacher Kind of role and Suarez on the left as some kind of Inside forward?
'Cause from what I've seen (Videos on youtube that is, and the match again FC Gomel) it looks like Borini is one of those "At the right place at the right time" type of player.
 
one of the main reasons we don't want to sell Agger, is that, frankly, what good replacement would we sign? Knowing our track record we'd sign some right **** with it.

I agree, and also to find a decent replacement and trying to blend them into the team and formation in just 7 days before the season starts is too late. If he does really want to go hopefully a good start to the season could convince him to stay.

Borini started on the left v Gomel, and although swapped with Suarez often was mainly on the left side, however it is a very fluid front 3
 
Line-up against Leverkusen:

First 11: Reina, Kelly, Enrique, Carragher, Coates, Lucas, Shelvey, Gerrard, Downing, Sterling, Suarez.
Subs: Jones, Henderson, Carroll, Adam, Robinson, Spearing.
 
Shame Allen couldn't get a run out, and nice to see Borini missing, played in all our matches and friendlies so far I think. Hope robinson comes on and shows everyone how ******* brilliant he is.

Aaaaand how they've been left out, you really can't see a future for Carroll or Adam. Seriously, they're just benched all the time

Yeah, he's just the type of player Brodgers likes, fast, skillful etc. Honestly he deserves to start ahead of Downing. He's done more than Downing ever has for us
 
Downing should start ahead of sterling, this season should be a better one with Rodgers in charge, already looked good In last few games!
 
Great half of football though. Liking the look of this team. Get Adam and Carroll out, sign Dempsey, and Ramirez/Tello etc and we'll be good.
 
I'd love Adam Johnson, unpredictable winger with a good delivery and also has an eye for goal. With being from England he'll have a home-grown status which is good when registering players for the Europa League (assuming we qualify first :D). But realistically, it's unlikely that Man City would sell him to us, unless we somehow included Agger in the deal :(
