Well imo, he is. He's a winger who likes to cut inside, sure, but he is still a winger.

But you will also agree he hasnt done much worthwhile in the last 18 months too :)

Dont need him and dont want him personally. Man Ure are welcome to him

Oh most definitely. ;)

Pass, i'd rather have bale

We want a winger who gives us width - someone who will stretch the opposition, hit the byline & cross accurately to a lurking Carroll - consistently - not keep cutting inside into traffic - we had too much of that with Babel.

Sorry, GC - I know you want shut of him but I'm not convinced; if it was up to yours truly - no sale.

You see, that is exactly what Young does, minus possibly the consistency. Young doesn't cut inside until he's at or near the byline generally.

And besides, it's not like our opinion has any impact on the matter. You don't have to apologise to me for not liking him, and I'm not trying to make you like him, as it isn't our decision. The decision rests with Dalglish, Ferguson and Young himself.

Clarke still has manager ambition - Liverpool FC
Steve Clarke admits he still has managerial ambitions - but claims a three-year contract working alongside Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool was too good to turn down.

The 47-year-old is one of the most respected coaches in the game, with former boss Jose Mourinho once saying, 'I think he is much, much better than many managers who are in charge of teams at the moment.'

Clarke made no secret of wanting to become a manager after leaving West Ham last summer - but that desire is now on hold after signing a long-term deal as first-team coach under Dalglish.

In a fascinating interview with Liverpoolfc.tv in which he also spoke about how Liverpool might act in the transfer market this summer, Clarke said: "Circumstances dictate what happens in football. After I left West Ham at the end of last season I thought I would try my hand at management. Nothing came up in that short period - one or two possibilities but nothing concrete developed.

"Then I came here and I've enjoyed it. Working with Kenny I can improve myself as a coach and a person. I can learn a lot from Kenny as a manager, as I've done from previous managers I've worked with.

"My ambition to be a manager will never go away until I do it. But that's something for the future. For now it's to focus on the job at hand.

"It was a great moment to sign the contract. It's always nice when you get rewarded for doing a good job. It's good to settle everything down and have positive things to look forward to in the future.

"Obviously when you come to a place and you're on a short-term contract, you don't quite put down the roots you should because you're never quite sure if you're going to be there long-term. Now I've got a three-year contract I'll be looking to buy a place and settle down in the Liverpool area."

With the season drawing to a conclusion, thoughts are turning to who clubs may purchase in the summer.

More's the pity. In a perfect world AY would go the the moos & we'd both be happy. :'(

Ah, it's looking good for Liverpool if you ask me. Since King Kenny took over we've been a totally different team, and that's without Gerrard, Agger & a fully fit Carroll..

As for next season, I'm really excited Agger & Gerrard will be back, Carroll will be fully fit, The Prince & Insua will be back off loan (hopefully both will stay) and we have around £60m for transfer, I hear anyway.

It's looking good for us.

Anyone else hoping to get those two back?

If Aquilani can continue what he did for Juventus this season then he'd be perfect to play alongside Lucas in the centre of the park.

I liked Aquiliani. His only problem was coming in injured, hard enough as it to adapt to the PL; doing so while injured is s much harder

Insua is too slow - unforgiveable in a full back.

The Aquaman.........perhaps, but he's on record as wanting to stay in Italy. Don't think he fancies us or getting roughed up in the Premiership either.

Aquilani wants to move, I don't see why we should keep him when we can get around 14m for him. Insua I am still unsure on. He can be a very good left-back on his day, but he is a bit slow and mistake prone. Wouldn't mind him as second choice but I think he wants to leave too.

Regret to say that Agger will leave if we can get £10m for him and he manages to pass a medical. The management & FSG have lost patience with his ongoing injury niggles and want rid. This is a pity as he's a great ball-playing CB, but you can see their point; at most we'll get 15 games out of him next season - hence the search for another CB.

I had a dream last night that I stole £4.20 off Kenny Dalglish for a day saver on the bus Hahahahaha XD

I get the feeling Insua doesn't want to return, shame really. We could've gotten away without having another left back perhaps, Flanno and Insua.

Martin Skrtel and Leighton Baines are the only players in the Premier League to have played every minute of every game so far this season.

Aquilani is class. But you get the feeling that he'd much, much rather play in Italy. Rafa wasn't one for publicly having a go at his players for the sake of it, and his comments on Aquilani were interesting.

Insua has promise. But he's out of contract soon and I can't see him signing another. Don't blame him either given how he was treated last summer.

Happy Retirement to Jerzy Dudek, hero of Istanbul. Nice touch by Real M taking him off and players giving him Guard of Honour.
