Cities CB recruitment has been poor to put it nicely. There's still hope for Stones, but not much. Mangala, Nastasic, Savic, Otemendi, that young Belgium lad that was suppose to be the next second coming. Stones is another one heading that way.

I rated Stones quite highly but he really needs the right player next to him I think.

Yeah he needs the right partner and in CB terms he us still very young people forget that. The kid has really high potential but needs the right partner i.e. not Otamendi and some good coaching which he will be getting. Also needs a settled team and a team that suits Peps style also because at the moment you feel that, that city team is only halfway there which is scary given how good they have been on occasions

Yeah just read that. Said he wants to stay at Dortmund for the next 2-3 years and develop. Not very often young players say that.
 
Well at this moment Dortmund is a step up so you can see his point of wanting to stay.

Well that was worth hanging on for before starting this match day.

Don't normally comment on the U-18's, but they've just rounded off the regular season in style by handing by far and away the best group at this age level in the Country, Manchester City, their first defeat of the season 2-0. Soaked up a lot of pressure but a dug in with a great team performance against a side that will doubtless win it all the Champions playoff group we now both progress to as well as being a shoe-in to beat Stoke the Youth Cup semis.

With Stevie Gerrard giving the pre and H/T team talk for the first time as he expands on the coaching trail.

Historic day all round.

Now to take care of an Arsenal side even more fragile and schizophrenic than ourselves. See you back in the top 4 later on.

Tbf I'm surprised that Tezz wasnt banned ages ago, as for scouse could be a good poster but he literally asked Mike to do it so can't say I'm surprised

Tbh, I have been fairly absent from the forum recently, so I cant really comment. Its hard being an impartial mod :@ I know it happens from both sides.

I think Mike just got tired of reading "Haha your in 6th" coupled with a dig at Mou, every other post solid for about a month now.. (or it felt like it)
 
Liverpool playing well. Llalana having a great game tbf. Mane dangerous as ever on the flank. Coutinho finding space. Arsenal all over the shop and miss Corzola big time in CM. take nothing away from Pool though. They defo play better with teams that come out more. Sanchez defo off in the Summer imo.

Shame about Scouse! I like him as a poster tbh and is usually pretty good tbf. Just all the 6th place stuff in the Utd thread went a bit OTT. Hope not banned for to long!?

Mike has Perma-banned him. I will probably reverse it and shorten it after ive spoken to scouse later. Sounds like a heat of the moment thing from both sides tbh.
 
Yeah, there's as much banter to Tezzz as a brick, and it feels his hate for united is greater than his love for Liverpool, maybe he was a different sort of poster in the past, I don't know... But as for Scouse, apart from his carefully worded digs here and there in the united thread, he is generally a good poster, with some good opinions and assessments... When it doesn't involve United!! That's when his sense of judgement becomes severely jaded.

Well done to getting into HT 2-0 up. Knew from the game at the Allianz that Liverpool would likely smash them.
