How good must Spain midfield be that there is no space for Thiago... I mean xavi, iniesta and Alonso is a hard midfield to break into. Oh wait.

Sweet.

Neco starting for the Welsh in Rome.

Another major step in his development,

Enjoy the occasion young man. Do your Country proud at the Euro’s.

NEWS | Neco Williams to push for Liverpool exit after Euro 2020 Anfield officials understand the 20-year-old’s desire to play regular first-team football and will reluctantly sell the academy graduate if the right offer is tabled... #LFC
Personally would sell him as I think he lacks the defensive basics (can be taught) and his attacking instincts are not as fine tuned as they should be. Don't think a loan would suit him either he needs to go somewhere that he will be the main man instead of loan after loan and coming back stuck behind Trent in the pecking order.

edit: Just wanted to add its unfair of neco to be compared and expected to perform like Tent. Trents skillset is so unique at fullback.

It'd be unfair and nigh on impossible to get any player from anywhere in World football to perform like the generational, and IMHO, unparalleled best in the World RB talent that Trent is.

He was performing to Gerrard levels through the intense pressure of the superb run-in to third a few months back. NOBODY is matching or indeed could, replicate that.

But yanno, Southgate thinks there are better options for England. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Tell yer what @dilakh2 , in answer to your ? the other day, Renato Sanches would be a great midfield fit.

Powerful, quick, great range, presses hard, technically sound. And young enough to still mould.

Certainly a FAR better option than the oft linked Neves from Wolves who’d be a disaster in a Klopp midfield. No pace to speak of and far too one dimensional.

Has grown up very well considering his earlier days in Swansea, played well for Lille the some games i saw but he is bit of knack to get small injuries.

Lille would ask for a pretty penny though? He has improved but he has a similar profile in the squad to progressing the ball to Curtis Jones and Id rather develop one of our own than splash the clash on Renato tbh. I have high hopes for Curtis he strikes me as someone who doesn't rest on his laurels and was thoroughly impressed with him in his breakout season this year. Neves is a number 6 and fortunately, we have the best in the world in that position in Fabinho so makes no sense to go for him.

French clubs not owned by a whole State are in absolute financial disarray mate. They don't even have a TV deal right now. The pandemic has decimated them.

It wouldn't make any sense to go for him even we didn't have Fabulous as he in no way, shape or form fits into a Klopp midfield.
