Ferguson was far more tactically astute than given credit for. His latter half of his career was all tactical. Culminating in that 2006-2009 United side, which was genuinely one of the best sides of its generation

That little area of Scotland has also produced a fair few decent players as well, oh and don't forget Billy McNeill the Celtic European Cup winning Captain and sometime Man City, Aston Villa, Aberdeen and Celtic manager is also from there.

That Celtic side he captained to Britains first European Cup glory ..... all but one of the 15 born within a 10-mile radius of Parkhead.

Absolutely ridiculous and so far removed from today's game it's mindblowing when you think about it.

Talking about Celtic and British managers.

Would you consider Rodgers the best British manager currently?
Would love him to get another shot in PL, but dont know even where to see. Maybe Arsenal, but it would be long shot.
Some decent LaLiga team would be also nice.

Sergio Aguero in the clear over Wigan pitch fracas. No punishment from the FA.
5:08 PM - Feb 20, 2018

Dunno what to say, he pushed the ref and the fan, and then tried to hit him. Though that fan had it coming for being an ***.
Honestly will not be surprised if City don’t recieve any punishment! Everyone should receive some sort of punishment!

Yeah that’s how it works lol

******* should for that. One of the scummiest moves ever. All new wkd rules. Also' works for diving. Play gets a free dig on the divee. body shots only.

Suprised Pep avoided a fine if true, not suprised on Kun getting a pass.

Like I said Joke of a decision on both accounts.

Absolute joke no action taken against Pep or Aguero!

Can see what Mourinho means now about some managers get different treatment, if that was Jose in Pep's position last night, they would throw the book at him. Plus all the media would be bashing Mourinho much more than they have done for Pep.

This isn't just a dig at City or Pep but it's these kind of double standards when it comes to punishment that is really frustrating.

Pep should have been. Fans on the pitch can get ******, not suprised at Kun getting nowt for it. Both clubs face a fine it seems though.

I love GMP initiating an investigation.

Just WTF were you doing stood around doing F all as usual with player and fan safety at risk?

Your joking aren't yer? 'Sensationalised?' He's pushing him and in his face. Wouldn't get involved in full view of everyone the pitch. Steams in the tunnel when he thinks he's out of sight. Shithouse behaviour. He's lucky he just got a mouthful back and not worse.

They're both being idiots, but I watched it 3 times and honestly it seems like misunderstanding rather than malice. They shook hands after the final whistle from what I have seen.

Tbh if Aguero is getting nothing. Neither should Wigan fans. Both as bad as each other.

Wigan are getting fined for fans on the pitch & City getting fined for the hoardings etc, Standard.

They didn't get extra for fans spitting at a player, and neither did Aguero for having a swing back.

Apart from Pep sliding, prob helped by Cook/Pep settling it pretty much by 2nd half kicked off again lol., the punishment seems pretty even tbf.
