Bastian Schweinsteiger is a football god. He will improve us without a doubt and he doesn't to adapt much to Van Gaal's methods.
Undoubtedly good player and like I say would be a good signing, just hope it doesn't prevent us from looking at other weaknesses in our midfield.
To be honest I don't think either Bild or Kicker are that good sources so it probably not true, I remember this rumour clearly last season.
If we got Pogba or Schneiderlin in my opinion would solve a lot of what our current midfield lacks or needs in most games.

Schneiderlin doesn't come into the equation for this position in our midfield but usually Carrick is as dependable as they come, this has been a turbulent season by his standards.
I'd like Schweinsteiger don't get me wrong, but it's just hard to believe and if someone asked me what does our midfield need the most in this window out of Pogba/Schneiderlin or Schweinsteiger I'd still stick to the first option.
Schweinsteiger still is a Box to Box mid, and is miles better on every level than Schneiderlin.
Its turbulent because Carrick is 34, and its probably his last season.
Schweinsteiger has aged and I doubt he could play that box to box role in the Premier League. If we got him it would be for the base of the midfield, not much else I reckon.
he still covered more ground than most players in Europe. And Bayern are one of the most intense sides in the world. If he can do it for them, he can do it in England.
