Just checked Saints website, Schneiderlin indeed isn't in the squad at the Audi Cup, and no mention of him or his absence on there Twatter channel. It's on like Donkey Kong.

Maybe Ed travelled to Salzburg from Munich (Audi Cup is in Salzburg / Austria) after holding talks for Bastian.

It was just a response to nark a Utd fan who accused him of being bitter when he was posing how he'd fit with Carrick when he'd struggled to fit with Alonso last year tactically.

He's definitely on the decline, however he's still a top player and has a lot to offer. You'll easily get a good 3 years out of him and I look forward to seeing him in the EPL.

It does lead to the key question of Utd's summer though, goalkeeper.

By all accounts Galatasaray are talking like they're definitely signing Valdes. So if/ when De Gea leaves .....
