I think its just a miscommunication in the initial conversation and where the press picked it up.

DDG asked if he was OK to play with the transfer bollox going on - stated, "no. im probably not in the right frame of mind to be 100%"

LVG speaks to press - "DDG was asked if he was OK to play he said NO."

Everyone assumes DDG flat out doesn't want to play for United.
 
I guess Mata in the middle, Deepay on the wing, Divenuzaj on the right. More or less what we wanted.
 
Looks like Depay out-wide on the left, Januzaj playing off Rooney and Mata right as normal.
 
Don't really get Carrick and Schneiderlin starting together though, much prefer one of them with Herrera or Basti.
