The Manchester United Thread

Rarely get annoyed about pens, but those decisions were bollocks

May of also helped that chelsea were yet again gutless and played for the point.

I don't see how that's a bad thing. If United can dominate relegation candidates like that, they're in for a great future.

The players of '92 are not yet ready, the Nevilles have only just started in Spain, Giggs has managed for only 4 games and needs to go elsewhere in my view, **** is currently looking after the United youth, Scoles is not a manager type in my view, whilst Beckham is more interested in the USA. If they want an United ex-player there are two who have shown they can manage, Blanc at PSG, who hasn't even been mentioned despite leading both Bordeaux and PSG to championships along with managing to get France past the group stages of the European championship and dare I say in Hughes. Hughes may not have won things but he didn't do too bad a job with Chelsea and City, and is now actually getting Stoke to play attacking football without relying on hoofing the ball up the pitch. Unfortunately I feel if Gaal falls on his sword before getting pushed then there will be a kneejerk reaction from the board resulting in Jose getting the job. Moriniho is NOT a manager suited to United he is too much of an ego, and does not favour the attacking approach. Ok he is successful but then most bullies prosper to begin with.

Im sorry to Mike but I CANT believe that. That is only speculation (of the worst sort)!
You forget Giggs does have form or have you forgotten his little affair with his brother's missus. A great player yes but debateable as a human being. He needs to go out and prove himself away from Utd before for he could be considered even a possible candidate in the future. Don't forget even Liverpool's famous Bootroom failed to keep them at the top in the end.

oh deary me....

I didn't realise until now they even spelt 'United' wrong.

The gift that keeps on giving. XD.

No news yet? I guess he's staying after all. Although if he doesn't start winning soon, they'd have no choice but to pull the trigger.

Squad showing up for the manager probably changed the board's mind, at least temporarily. If LVG can still motivate the players, bringing in short-term motivator like Mourinho makes zero sense and should be only used as last resort. I'd imagine that's the reasoning.

and Guardiola is not yet off the table.

I think main problem with Pep is, he wants the job, but only if United can make to the CL.
I'm getting this out of my ***, so don't take it too seriously. But it could be the thing.

No i havent forgotten that. But jumping from that to claiming he is the source of the leaks is too much.

The obsession some people have about Giggs *** life is hilarious. Meanwhile, George Best probably impregnated half of Manchester in his day, and this is how class of 92 happened.

Best only nailed Miss World Winnners :)

I don't think managers would care too much about that in truth.

Yup. Players do, but they have very short careers, so it makes sense.

Mangers though, probably don't give much of a ****. Pep is only 45, he still has 20 years of coaching in him. Wasting a year wouldn't bother him much. . If anything he might actually prefer having a first year no european games and more time to work with the squad.

Interesting theory but incorrect he only did Miss World's and none of them came from Manchester. ;)

I'm not implying he is the leak but it's not safe to trust someone who will do the dirty on his own family. If you can lie to a brother then you can lie to anyone.

Having faith in the manager isn't a bad thing, as we actually played well against Chelsea and deserved the win. But at the end of the day it's another game without a win and we need to act before the season becomes beyond repair like when we got rid of Moyes.

At the moment we're 5 points of 4th, if we don't win against Swansea, LVG has to go and we shall need a change. Right now we're on the brink.

Oh and our issues are deeper than just the manager, United needs to be run by a CEO who actually knows football, arguably a director of football would help if it kept Woodward away from making these type of decisions. People like Woodward and Arnold need to keep to the business side of things while we appoint someone who controls the footballing aspect. In this day and age it is silly to expect a manager to control everything from a footballing perspective. Just my two cents anyway.
