The Manchester United Thread

Di Marzio and Ramano saying there will be a final meeting today were united will meet Juventus counter offer. Pogba had definatly told them he wants to leave, and terms agreed. Also say Riola was conference calling last night tying up the fine details and loose ends,

As proportion of #MUFC turnover a £100m Pogba fee equates to what we paid for @rioferdy5#bargain?(via @bojochris)

Hardly a bargain. Just because turnover rose massively and now transfer fee is smaller percentage does not mean transfer fee in and of itself for the player is a bargain by any stretch of imagination. Just means United are well within their means to afford such a fee.

Ferdinand cost obscene amount of money for a defender back then. Sure it worked out, but it was hardly a bargain.

There is no way either could be called a bargain, but if he has the impact of Ferdinand then it will be an truly brilliant deal.

No one cares about fees when the players turns out a success. It's only if it's a failure then the fee will be heavily questioned and why we failed so miserably in getting the most out of the same player having him twice.

if we fail to make him a success some 1 needs a long hard look at themselfs

Without the drugs then yeah, he'll be a great deal.

i think he faild a drug test was out for a few months i think

Pogba or Ferdinand? Ferdinand missed a drugs test. Not failed one. And his suspension was a joke. He asked to go back the same day and do it. They said no. Did the test the day after and passed but was still banned. Since then, players have actually failed a test and got shorter bans/fines.

The Sun reported that Mourinho told Mata that he will play only one game out of three. Doesn't make much sense.
