The Manchester United Thread

Angel Gomes is representing England at youth international level but do you reckon he will continue on to England senior team or opt for Portugal? One of the most promising talents I've seen for a long time. Him and Chong should make it to United first team with ease, as long as their attitude doesn't do a Ravel Morrison.
Him and his farther have already said he will represent England :) As for him and Chong can't see attitude being a problem. Have even spoken with Gomes briefly last season, and his farther will defo keep him grounded. There are genuinely 5-6 IF they keep on this path and keep grafting that can definitely make it here. ****, ***, McKenna all say the same.

I'd start Gomes against Arsenal this weekend.

Think it might be two seasons before we see him near first team personally, probably longer if Mourinho is still here as he doesn't usually like to put faith in them. But he would certainly add something to our midfield right now.

In FM I in-cooperate him and Chong in first team straight away when taking over first season.

I've done this too, Gribbin seems to be the best developing one out of the 3, he's very similar to Odegaard who I also have, compared them the other day and they're same height, footed, even only a day apart in birthdays!

Gomes is brilliant, but impossible to say he could add something.

Really? That would be a MASSIVE ask on a 16 year old. Not least physically. His next natural step would be the U-23's the next couple of seasons whilst still continuing to develop the U-18's. Kids developing. No need to rush that at all.

Alex or TFM would be the ideal ones to be bumped up right now giving the injury problems at the back end one would of thought.

But then it's all predicated to having a manager that trusts youth enough to do that. More often than not, he hasn't.

God, Odegaard. There's a kid that was pushed into the wrong move.

4 years left on his contract and Koeman has shown already he's a complete *** if you **** him off so he'd be playing a dangerous game if he was.

Whispers to Utd? Man, I personally hope there's something in that. Never seen anything in him personally. Just a run of the mill hard working player.

Didn't realise we were talking about milner ;)

Yeah far to early for Gomes. Yes ability wise no problem, but physically to early. Plus he's not long turned 16. Him and a few others will get the odd move up this season to the 23s bench with a few mins here and there. Gribbin and Buffinge will get promoted to the u23s full time after crimbo, now Gribbin has fully recovered from injury. And Buffonge can be spaired as we are stacked in attacking areas and he is more physically developed and a year older than the rest. Those two plus Kehinde, Hamilton will give our u23s some balance and good quality in attacking areas which is serious lacking in the U23s.

Just about to start my LTS on FM17. Good to know there ready. Will promote Gribbin and Tuanzebe also. Both did good on my test save with Warren and TFM.

Luke Shaw being linked to L'pool by the media.

Must be another transfer window coming up as the absolutely bat **** crazy rumour season has apparently already started.

Not that it could mean a great deal. But Jackson said on Utd in Press that we have been in constant contact about Griezmann this season about a possible move in the summer.

Lingard been very good tonight! And a very good debut for Herrera. Spain been loads better since he's replaced Busquets!
