Its not doing anything apart from making us look like a laughing stock! No matter what fans to demonstrate there anger at a manager won't influence the clubs decision at all to sack him. The only thing that will is fans boycotting games and effecting revenue. A stupid plane banner will not. Embarrassing!
Still can't believe people would go to the lengths of paying all that money for **** like that regardless of anything else. Laughing stock isn't the word.
Certain things you just don't do.
Never forget a game down at Tottenham the start the '90's, when things were real bad under Suness, and some Southern lads unfurled this banner on a bed sheet 'politely' telling him to F-OFF out the club. Uproar ensued. Punches were exchanged. The banner came down in no time. And the lads angriest at them were sick to the back teeth of the manager. But that's not how you behave at the game.
There was a ******* Wednesday the ground I had words with who was constantly narking at Sturridge. Like how the F do you think you or anyone else audibly groaning and ******** at the lad is going to help his confidence and raise his game? And players know and can hear what's being said. They're still human regardless of the money. Booing's another touchy subject. Most Liverpudlians don't like it at all. I personally have no problem with that at the end of a game if it's warranted through lack of effort or a sustained run of absolute *****. But NOT during. Completely detrimental to the team on the pitch.
You want to protest against a manager/ owners whomever? Stay back and do that at the end of a game. Do it outside. Notify the press. Do whatever. But DON'T do that whilst the games going on. How anyone doesn't think that's not detrimental to proceedings I just don't know.
As this is a Utd thread, you lads singing about L'pool most every frigging game you play. (Made all the more ironic when your captains a Scouser. He must get narked at that to himself.). I know that goes right through a lot of long standard Mancunians who cringe with embarrassment. But a lot of the knobheads who come from all over don't have a ******* clue. Another example of complete wool behaviour that shouldn't happen unless you're playing us.
And I'm not all for blind support regardless. That's a two way streak and the players and manager have to play their part. But theres ways and means of how you go around things and whats acceptable and what's not.
Most fans today just have no standards or idea and just turn your club, Utd or whomever (and we have our fair share of absolutely clueless, embarrassing Sky generation morons from all over), into just A N Other generic fanbase.
