No idea if ESPN's story is correct and whether it's true that the haste of Manchester United's bid has meant they didn't understand that £16m only got you a seat at the table rather than taking home the pot, but the haste of the bid will mean that a lot of the important contractual stuff will take longer to sort out than would otherwise be the case.
Mike - Young's personal demands are, erm, extravagant. Can really believe £34m over length of contract once loyalty bonuses and signing on fees and being a good boy clauses and the like are added in. seriously i'd tell him where to shove it, we werent willing to pay Sneijder 7m a year, why on earth would we pay early the same for him? Hasnt even signed for us and im already really starting to hate him
