Also the value isn't the issue here. Last time I checked you did transfers to get better players...

Not sure why people think Miki currently has lots of value. Even Dortmund didn't want to pay for him to come back and potentially replace PEA

We would've sold Mkhi at a small loss in the summer. Probably 20M. Definitely wouldn't have surpassed for 30M value Sanchez was going for this January. Turning 30 next season, would've been into 2nd last year of contract, and his form since signing has hardly raised his value.

In my opinion, it's a good deal for all parties. Arsenal were going to lose him for nothing, so instead, they got a talented player. We were going to sell Mkhi anyway, but instead, we used him as a bargaining chip to sign a world class player.

Win win all round.

On the face of it, for the club's maybe?

But I don't feel it is for either player down to the respective coaches.

There's very few if any, Sanchez included, players that haven't regressed under Wenger the last decade and his stifling, systematic scheme/ coaching as he himself has regressed from the top class, innovative coach he was a decade and more back now. Why anyone would want to go to the absolute ____show that is Arsenal from a football perspective is beyond me? I can only see Mkhitaryan continuing to look a shadow of the player who was at Dortmund under Wenger and probably dropping off even more.

From Sanchez' POV, and I agree, my own personal views on his attitude that we don't need to get into again aside, a potential WC player (he's regressed a bit from when he was in that bracket under Wenger the last 12/18 months), to go play under a coach who's system/ style of play severely restricts creative, attacking players when he had the option to go to play under a coach over the other side of the City who is the complete polar opposite of that tells you a lot of what motivates the player to me.

Jones has played every minute of 13 out of United's 15 clean sheets this season, impressive stat for him. He has been looking really good recently but always have that worry with him.

Also heard on the stream I was watching of the Burnley game that Defour is the only player to score from outside of the box against De Gea which is an impressive feat for De Gea to only let one in from range
Jones has been fantastic this season. Credit to Mourinho and his medical staff. Turning out to be as good as was expected when he first signed.

James Wilson scored a good debut goal for Shef Utd in there 2-1 win over Norwich yesterday. Happy Sanchezter day everyone (6) and our new No7 :)

Not true. Jose asks for tactical discipline, but attacking wise he let's them break free. Ozil played his best ever football under him. Sanchez is a street brawler of an attacker. He'll chase and harry all day long. Virtually perfect for Jose.

I also think Miki will do very well at Arsenal. He needs a soft touch and that's what Wenger is good at. He should hopefully regain confidence

Completely disagree and to the point he's very noticeably got more insular and defensive/ restrictive the last 5 years of his career. Hazard jumps straight out at Chelsea as one glaring example.

We'll revisit this the summer and beyond and see where Sanchez differs or not from his downturn at Arsenal.

Martial and Rashford have played arguably the best football of their careers

Tbf Hazard was awesome in Jose's title winning season when he went back. It's only the season after when he and pretty much everyone stopped performing for some reason, we'll probably most likely never know.

Again, I am very happy with Sanchez and especially to have him going into CL knockout stages is perfect, but Arsenal haven't got too bad out of it.

If there is anything I hate about this deal, it is the obvious and quite disgusting media bias that has been prevalent in a lot of articles to do with this and producing figures to do with Sanchez salary which when you read them... don't even add up in their own article. I'm not saying he won't be on great wages, he will, but for journalists to inaccurately try and say what he is on is just very unprofessional. At least get the figures right so they add up in your own article before trying to present factual information.... English media..... no??

Anyway, I still think a player like Sanchez would of been an utter fool to turn down this move, he would of missed out on plsying in CL this season and would of had to endure 6 months of Arsenal scapegoating him (especially the fans).

City want him that bad they should pay the money that was needed to get him, they didn't and any promise they may of had with him they broke on their side regardless.

The Arsenal FAN TV delusion is real, it was only like 3 days ago they were all pulling their hair out... suddenly they are all over the moon... wow the turnaround? :D :P

Their transfer roundup show Robbie does daily.... well the one today.... talk about salty and inaccuracy.

A) He says that they are still getting Sanchez and 15m... when it's an straight swap. Believing Daily Mail over BBC.... lol k.

B) Sanchez wage has made Pogba moan about it and demand his wages are doubled (as he is on 200k a week and allegedly, Sanchez might be earning 400k a week.... I still think BS and wait until the proper facts come out)... could be true.... but then the source is..... the mirror. *facepalm*

I love Arsenal fans.. but even Robbie's delusion over this deal ^.^

I noticed Mourinho says that if Sanchez comes, we will only make 2 signings in the summer. I'm assuming that doesn't include the players we will also having coming back such as TFM and Pereira which already goes over the 22 squad limit?

Not including players who will leave obviously.. I'd expect Mata, Fellaini, Darmian, probably Blind as well. so then that leaves room for the 2 signings Mourinho mentions.

We will make 2 signings. Then TFM, Tuanzebe, Periera will take the roles of ones leaving.

Mous mentioned a CM and a left footed winger. We have TFM and Valencia for RB.

True a lot of options. think if we get these 2 signings in summer right, our squad will be stellar with the likes of Pereira, Tuanzebe and TFM replacing the deadwood we have now.

Still for this season, give CL a real good go with Sanchez and continue on in the league see what happens.

Agree. A true top class CM will seriously elevate this squad to partner Pogba. Can see why Mou still wants a left footed player for a different option and squad balance.

Good interview with **** about how he’s already started to make plans about intergrating some of the youngsters coming through. Will post it later. Some serious talent at the club now! Mentions how we will still by top players every window while keeping the tradition and youth coming through.

We need quality cover/balance for Pogba. I suspect we will spend heavily on a tactically savvy intelligent box to box midfielder.
