The Manchester United Thread

more of this nonsense? How do you think it would go meeting up with managers that are seemingly settled at their respective clubs (unless we’re trying to tap free agents)
Most likely how most of these things are done all the time via agents or inters. When clubs are after a new manager or new player. It’s happened forever even though it’s supposed to be “tapping up” and shouldn’t happen.

#mufc have started meeting candidates for the permanent managerial role. United are aiming to make the decision in the next few weeks to have them involved in next season's squad construction. Ralf Rangnick has been involved #mulive [@David_Ornstein]

Without the top 4, I shudder to think what the wage bill will be.

The squad needs a complete overhaul from back-to-front. And the clubs pulling power of the '90's/ '00's for the very top players has long since left the building. So the only hope there is to continue more of the same that has Utd in the current World of **** they are constantly mired in and well overpay. Sancho's ridiculous salary being the recent glaring example.

The Champions League this season is the most imperative thing of all while clickbait dicks are talking about next season's potential manager.

Except the names that are being talked about are managing top level clubs challenging for top honors mid season. This isn’t a Real Madrid-Ancelotti situation where RM had sway to the Italian to abandon a struggling Everton.
What do you expect? That one of Pochettino or Erik Ten Hag accepts a zoom invite from John Murtough during 1st team training?

Obviously not lol. That doesn’t mean talks haven’t happened in some way.

We gave Sancho a whopping 300k a week while qualifying for the UCL back to back so I don’t think CL has as much influence as you think in terms of united paying over the odds. That’s not to say I don’t think Sancho will be a top bracket player in the future but in current reality, we’re paying 300k a week to a 21 year old player even with UCL football.

I do agree we need need more control of the wage structure which starts by clearing deadwood and not offering Pogba £400k a week

While the men stank up the place yesterday lol. The womens won 4-0 to move up to third and the final CL spot. Also took us 1 point behind Chelsea in second.

Idk, nothing was more crushing than that Liverpool hinding at OT. You could argue we were well in the game vs city in the first half but vs Liverpool, we were never in it from minute 1.
Still unsure how solskjaer survived that game
Oh true, Liverpool punishing United was way worse, but not the point here.

Our youth teams are doing well this season. Good results at junior level and now emerging as a top Academy club. Another step forward for a club where we used to say goodbye to our girls at 16.

The Academy team are live on FA Player today:

— Manchester United Women's U21 forward Maria Edwards is a player to watch out for in today's #WSLAcademy League Cup final against Birmingham Appearances - 15 Goals - 27

Also huge day for the youth team as they play in the FA Cup youth semi final tonight at OT against Wolves. Tickets are free and there’s gonna be a big turn out for a youth match. The club have also put on free coaches and all food and drinks will be half price. It’s live on mutv.

United go 1-0 up, Edwards shot palmed out by keeper and Aherne slots in the rebound. In the womens Academy final. First half just ended.
