I honestly thought they would announce this in typical Utd fashion late and half way through the transfer window. Please take surprise. Maybe things are changing. Seems to be off the field. Funny as we all thought that was the biggest issue. Seems the opposite now lol. Not surprised things have changed off the field now ego Ed has gone.

Clutching onto straws now are we? When have we announced a new gaffe in the middle of August?
 
Ten Hag and Man Utd had previously wanted to delay the announcement until after the end of the season but he and Ajax grew tired of being asked questions about the topic. He hopes that the announcement will give him and his players a better opportunity to focus. [@hirstclass]

Yes but it’s never been an issue with announcing gaffes…signing players is a lot more complicated than hiring managers.
We’ve been working on this deal since December mind you.
 
I personally think this is a PR publicity stunt to buy sympathy points.
