The Manchester United Thread

I don't know how long balls on Van Persie can be tactically amazing.

Wow, just like talking to GC sometimes. Why not play long ball if you don't have anything else to do? He's decent in the air and has great control.

What, you mean you're questioning someone who's right? Yeah, I see it. :)

Imagine you as a manager... ****** ****... is that why you never made it... because you always used stats/facts (as he calls them) in every press conference! YOUR WORSE THAN RAFA BENITEZ.

It was a poor game. We can talk about tactics, but a lot of basic stuff from both sides was very scrappy too.

Touche. Didn't really Mata though, they never created much of a Hazard.

And we didn't even play long balls to RVP? No more than you see in any standard game.

Mata to United done deal. Ozil done deal as well, walked down the tunnel when subbed and seen Woody waiting for him. #WheresWoody

I would normally tell you he attempted 9 aerial duels on the pitch, the most of anyone (beating out Vidic with 7) and won 3, but I think that would probably fall under the realm of individual aspects of the game. ;)

We didnt play that many long balls to RVP. That said, we don't actually typicall play towards RVPs head anyway, its chest and feet.

Who said I never made it? Some say I actually AM Benitez. I can neither confirm nor deny these rumours.

Sorry mate, there's no way. You find all the stats and FACTS way to fast. Real Rafa would first need go through 5000 of his little notes.

I actually use post-it notes for wallpaper in order to access them quickly.

Well, yesterday was a perfect example of why Rooney is still vital to our team and how foolish it would be letting him go, let alone to a domestic rival.

This is when Rooney's plays best, it's something Moyes I hope can get back out of him, when he has that hunger and slight aggression in his game it's like a totally different player. Having said all this I can see it being a bit sour for Kagawa. I really hope he can play even if it's on the left on Sunday, he deserves game time and a good opportunity this season.

1. If I were KAGAWA I would retire (or return to Dortmund) rather than be insulted by further sitting on the bench in a team where Valencia, Welbeck, Cleverley and Young all get game time first.

2. One week to go and we are still short of a player to boss the midfield as well as a player to create from the midfield. I also shudder to think what will happen when RIO gets rested and Vida injured. If these two events coincide we ll be in deep merde (as they say in French). I like both Smalling and Evans but feel that unless they each play next to RIO/VIDA they are wobbly.

3. Also was it just me (I was at the match btw) or did Moyes play for the draw (or rather was he too scared to be adventurous). Seemed so and was very un-Utd.
