Spain always have this unwavering loyalty to their first choice. Even in meaningless friendlies the one player that plays more or less overtime is the 'keeper. Zubizarretta for years and years. Then Casillas. Reina hardly got a look in. It's bizarre but it is what it is and Del Bosque continues that same loyalty.
To think De Gea could very well be sat the bench the summer just blows your mind.

Who Valdez? Lol.There were at time at least 3 GK better than Reina in Spanish national team.

If you truly think Valdez is/was better than Reina then perhaps its good that you're done with football for today. Valdez was an awful keeper who was lucky to be in goal for one of the best sides in football history.People are really underrating Valdez this much to think Reina was better? Ok. I'm done with football for today.

Valdes was ok, but playing for a side that constantly maintained 70% possession certainly made his job easier.
Reina winning three Golden Gloves in a row for Liverpool is another story.
The irony of this. Calling Valdes, (not Valdez) an awful keeper is actual nonsense, even from Liverpool fans who might have worshipped Reina
They were both excellent keepers at their peak, Valdes was just the more consistent of the two, but neither were as good or consistent as Casillias at the time
Disagree, Reina was better then him in every department. Although Reina did lost the plot towards the end though. However how much of that was due to losing his gk coach Xavi Valero who was an excellent coach.

Valdes an awful keeper.....seriously? Yes he may have struggled against crosses but awful?
That's enough internet for me for today
Best keeper in the league? lol.
On a side note, it's really sad how Januzaj's development has been completely abandoned. On his debut season with moyes, i don't think i've ever seen such a young players as cool on the ball as him.
He's like martial but without the explosiveness plus he was silky. He made everything look so easy. I don't know what happened to that januzaj.
