The Manchester United Thread

Swansea next then, going to be pretty tough at their place. Got to be confident going into it after this performance. Should be able to dominate in the midfield yet again with Matic and Pogba.

Might go 433 in that game and bring Herrera in. Plus Sigs looks likely to be gone this week. Should be able to go there and get a result!

Just imagine Zlatan and Lukaku up top together from Dec :O

Can't see them playing together but definitely good to have them options. Who knows it could happen?

I think one thing our team benefits more from now as opposed to last season. Is Lukaku's ability to run in behind and creates more space for those behind him. Whereas Zlatan doesn't offer that at this stage of his career and doesn't obviously have the pace Lukaku does.

Hard to judge him off todays game though, he'll have much tougher tests against better opposition, going forward.

I don't think he's **** tbh, just inconsistent and kind of a liability at times. Plus his fitness is very frustrating.
There are 3 phases to Phil jones

First, he gets injured
Second, he gets back and plays awfully initially but as he gets a string of games, he starts to play well consistently
3rd, he gets injured

Yeah didn't really mean as a 2 more Zlatan just off Lukaku. But like you said who knows. Would still like to see Perisic and Aurier come in.

Yea, I guess, but wouldn't it mean alot less time for Martial and Rashford?(Griez is a freak who doesn't tire and is also a straight up certainty for starter when fit.Anyways, will cross that bridge when we come to it, trust Jose to figure that out

I am still trying to imagine where Griezmann fill it insid all this

I'm still intrigued that you're so convinced on what's happening 12 months down the line when a whole host of clubs will doubtless be after him.

Not least one in Catalonia who'll be needing a massive status symbol signing after losing one this summer.

Think he may be referring to the rumours today saying Griezmann has a change of heart and wants to move now, despite the ban.

Just treating it as rubbish like all rumours though.

Saw a great interview with him post game on NBC questioning just why in the World Chelsea let Mata go to a rival when he's still got so much to offer.

I hope Alc wasn't watching .....

I'd bet on it happening. He was gonna come this season, but stayed because he was loyal to his club. He'll be loyal emough to his agreement to come next year, you'll see.Nice to remember there still exist players like him who'd stay loyal to their club rather than leave the club in a lurch like Neymar did or like Coutinho, Dembele or VVD could do

P.S: Screenshot this if you wamt to laugh at me later

Highly doubt he'd move anywhere in Spain, he has a lot of loyality to Atletico, as shown for staying one extra season to help them out after their transfer ban.

Sell Phil. Buy Greizmann! :D.

That would actually be rather funny to see the fume from some. :P.

If he's loyal to his club, why would he be leaving next year? ;).

Loyalty is a thing of the past in football outside of the very rare occurrences of a local lad coming through and sticking with a club. Most every player now has one or two big moves mapped out in their career to maximise potential. Prime example being talked about today. Martial. He's had one. He'll more than likely look for another at some stage. They're all mercenaries now.

Staying a year and then doing one wouldn't really make Greizmann any less of a mercenary than anyone else today.

That's the modern game.
