The Manchester United Thread

Sorriest bunch of football players I've ever seen wearing United shirt. Terrible.

You know what they say, if the hobby isnt fun anymore, stop doing it. Ole's last 6 month tool all the joy I had for United and EtH is somehow even worse.

Think it might be time to stop wasting it and do something more productive, like reading Reddit comments.
things must be bad if youe reading reddit

Also, 55 ******* million pounds defender who cant jump/defend. Partnered with 80m defender who needs a Pampers every time someone's closing him down.

Brilliant.

Sure about that? The price would be too low at that point. And do they really care about selling profit? They will continue doing their shady stuff
They’ve already milked us for 1.3 billion. Selling us at any price at that point is profit.

I do wonder how DDG’s post match interview would go considering he let in 2 soft goals in a matter of mins on a team low in confidence

Just sick of watching most of this lot. Then you get people complaining about players we are putting bids in for that are way better than most we have.

Someone made a good point on a Utd chat group about DDG. He was like this when he didn’t have Henderson challenging him. His form picked up a lot more and the glaring mistakes went away once Henderson was back in the squad threatening to replace him.

Maybe we can expect another **** show from DDG this season. Maybe why we are being linked with keepers again. **** knows it’s all a mess.

Like I said I’m sick to death of watching Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, McFred, Rashford starting all the time

Just having a discussion where your 5-1 drubbing at City in 1989 to Mel Machins team of newly promoted kids (Brightwell, Hinchcliffe, White and the sadly really unfortunate Paul Lake et al who were touted to challenge us but never fulfilled their potential), came up. Don’t worry, there’s a good point to this haha.

The early derbies that season were on the same Saturday as we beat the Ev 3-1 and on the same day, City walloped Utd 5-1 in a game stopped 3 or 4 times for fighting. I remember getting the pink back in town after Goodison and the final result not being in from Maine Road because of the delays haha. Wasn’t until MOTD later that night that I knew the score haha.

Those were the days.

I’m recounting this not to add to your gloom about Utd with a derby thrashing but to say the one thing that stands out is another spectacular Mark Hughes scissor-kick volley goal in that game that he specialised in. I can’t remember many, if any, other players that scored the volume of those type of exquisite, volleyed goals for club or Country that Hughes did. Proper acrobat in the air.

Funny what you remember.

So rather than the youtube of the game, a spectacular goal from a player we hated but would have adored had he played at Anfield to brighten up this sweltering Sunday after yesterday's carnage.

You and me too mate haha.

BTW, top respect for him for starting again at Bradford. He’s apparently on not much more than their previous manager. He just wants to work again.

Interesting one to watch play out,
