The Manchester United Thread

This could be and sounds like the new football structure in the new year

So is it going to be

Blanc - CEO
Ashworth - Director of Football
Mitchell - Head of Recruitment

Wow. Will be interesting to see how talanted CB Kambwala does on debut. And good to see Mainoo starting not so much McTominey 😴 great to see Eriksen back also.

How long is it going to take before someone realises that a forward can't score if the wingers want to hog the shots? The January window is not going to improve things either. I really feel sorry for that poor lad up front with Anthony and Garnacho trying to get the glory.

It would help if Ten Hag wasn’t as stubborn as a mule by reverting back to a single pivot, especially in an away game. As I stated earlier, single pivot setups are exploitable by any team worth their salt with neither fullback willing to invert in the defensive phase. The first goal we conceded epitomizes this.

Since our forward line is woefully off form, what’s the use of going for this Jung ho approach? Just remain defensively solid at least not to lose games.

I was wondering if ETH changed his tactic/formation to a Brazilian box formation (4-2-2-2 double pivot & two attacking midfielders with no wingers) would it work?

As part of the transaction, INEOS has accepted a request by the Board to be delegated FULL responsibility for the management of the Club’s football operations. This will include all aspects of the men's and women's football operations and Academies, alongside two seats on the Manchester United PLC board and the Manchester United Football Club boards.

@TelegraphDucker Ratcliffe will get first refusal should Glazers wish to sell any further #MUFC stock in future although there’s no clause in deal that will necessitate the Americans selling their remaining shareholding to the Ineos founder at a specified date in future

Ratcliffe: “Whilst the commercial success of the club has ensured there have always been available funds to win trophies at the highest level, this potential has not been fully unlocked in recent years” (1/2) #mufc

Ratcliffe: “We are here for the long term and recognise that a lot of challenges and hard works lies ahead, which we will approach with rigour, professionalism & passion … we all want to see #MUFC back where we belong at the very top of English, European & world football” (2/2)
