The Manchester United Thread

What a shockingly poor quality game from 2 teams still madly classed as part of the big 6.

Not quite the 25% of all passes hoofed long through the air against us. But a really poor standard of football nonetheless.

Huge improvement this season. From relegation form to mid table form. As long as there's progress, eh?
Improvements in terms of results is a bonus but there are still issues in terms of getting the main forward scoring and lapses defensively. Things have improved but this is still not Amorin's ideal squad. I think if at the end of the season the club are around the current place in the league especially after last season's abysmal performance most fans will be happy. New shoots of growth and belief can be seen but there is a long way to go.

Yeah lol. Still loads of work. But if we can see some signs of progress I will take it

The other positive for next season is the fact that Liverpool will be taken out of the equation.
Adding to the fact that all the officials are instructed to ensure they lose, there are plans in place to hijack all the pasta heading to their training ground kitchens and replace it with a secret 'pasta lite' that only contains 20% of the carbs.

That should weaken them further.

Great victory for the women team last night beating PSG in the champions league. 2-1 goals from Melvin Mallard and Fridolina Rolfo both fantastic goals btw. Was a night of history as it was the first game at OT in the CL for the women’s team and many other firsts also. Win was even more impressive as we were missing some key players. Now us along with Barcelona and Lyon are the only team to have won every match so far :)

Women list 2-0 to table toppers City on Saturday. Notice seen us play in yrs. but also no surprise that the CL has started again we have started to drop points in the league the last 2 matches. Squad depth simply isn’t there especially with a few key injuries. Hopefully us having a good CL run so far will help draw a few signings in January.

According to the President of the Italian Basketball Federation, Gianni Petrucci, #mufc have agreed to launch a basketball team to participate in NBA Europe — a new league aiming to capitalise on the growing popularity of basketball outside the United States [@CorSport]

Gianni Petrucci (President of the Italian Basketball Federation) on NBA Europe: “It's a new league that will be good for the system, bringing resources and entertainment. The agreement also notes that registered clubs must participate in their respective domestic leagues. In a $50 billion (£37.9bn) market, European basketball has a commercial value of just $200 million (£152m). An NBA league is precisely the opportunity to increase competitiveness and expand the pool.If Manchester United, the most popular football team in the world, has already said yes, there must be a reason.” [CorSport]

Huge night for the women’s team against Wolfsburg in the CL. If we win this we genuinely could have a chance of winning the competition especially if we strengthen in Jan. Wolfsburg are cereal CL later rounders and 4 times winners.

2-3 down at HT. giving it a **** of a go but we’ve give away to shocking gls. But at the same time been denied a clear penalty. And there was a clear elbow in the face to our RB before there 3rd.

What an absolute **** show. Lost 2-5. All 5 gls conceded were calamity central stuff. That’s 3 losses out of 4 and the first 11 look gassed and the back ups are not near the level. Skinnar got a huge huge problem now.
