After our first dropped points of the season against Scunny nice to get back to winning ways away at Bury. Especially after being 1-0 down at HT, a win there is a very good result after the way they have started the season.
Looking forward to next Monday's live game against Wednesday, I'm fairly confident of a good result the only thing I fear is Semedo coming back to haunt his old club The Wednesday fans are creaming themselves over him atm, they obviously haven't realised yet that he can't pass and will get sent off three times a season
Can i just say that i would love to see Charlton back in the prem in a few years, so i hope you come up this year
Ta, our promotion push has been basically entirely funded by AFC signing Jenkinson, so we have you to thank!
Have to say he has played well so far baring yesterdays horror show where he was left out to dry by Djouoru
y'all enjoy yourselves in the paint pot cup, we have been awarded a by Unless you get a good, confidence boosting run going, it really is a fitness sapping, player injuring, mickey mouse, pointless distraction of a competition. Although it is a good chance to field some young players, I believe you are obligated to play at least 5 first team players.
Fantastic performance today, we were by far the better team, but sadly lost in the lottery of a penalty shoot-out. Even the Exeter fan on here will agree [where has he gone?] that we made the League One side look completly average. The away end went mental after Luke Daley's fantastic goal, which from there on in silenced the Exeter fans who were pretty ****. Exeter had 0 shots on target, we had 55% possession, maybe we could of sneaked a winner if it wasn't for the brilliance of Lenny Pidgley in the Exeter goal. Proud tonight, even though technically we lost, I'll call it a draw and a great performance.
Well I wouldn't say you were by far the better team but thought we were very disappointing last night and will probably struggle this year, whereas your team wernt too bad. I think both set of fans expected us to win comfortably but it was a close game and you could even have won if it wasn't for a very good save from pidgley in front of bb. Very good goal from your player but I'm glad we won in the end. Atmosphere wise we were quite good to start off with then were silent for about 15 mins untill first goal. Main reason we weren't as loud as last seasons game was probably just because low attendance-and for you too only sell 300 tickets for a derby game is embarrassing. Your fans sounded quite good considering you don't hear much from that away end! A decent cup run in this would be nice now
I wouldn't say selling 300 tickets was embarrasing- Considering they were on sale to season ticket holders only, we are bottom of the football league, and everyone thought we would get thrashed. Its obvious Exeter miss the quality Ryan Harley and Jamie Cureton bought to the table. There was no sparkle in midfield from Exeter like there was last April, and the 0 shots on target proved they need a goalscorer in the side. I remember saying long long ago, without Harley & Cureton, Exeter would be nothing and would face relegation. You have a poor squad, and it could be a long season for you and Tisdale.
But they have Danny Coles in defence, therefore they will be play-offs minimum! XD
he played cm the game before too, not sure why but i agree hes better at CB.XD Coles wasn't that bad in truth, put in a good shift for them, but I still think Archibald Henville plays better at CB for Exeter- Any reason why he was in a more advanced position yesterday, Exeter fans?
true and think if tisdale left we would be struggling but hopefully just consolation this year as cant imagine being up with playoffs again. just dont what to see a repeat of what happend with swindon-good season then relegated next :OI wouldn't say selling 300 tickets was embarrasing- Considering they were on sale to season ticket holders only, we are bottom of the football league, and everyone thought we would get thrashed.
