It's prediction time!

Championship:

1. Bolton
2. Birmingham
Play-off winner: Blackpool

Relegated: In no particular order, Barnsley, Bristol City and Peterborough.

League 1:

1. Swindon
2. Brentford
play-off winner: Sheffield United

Relegated: Again, in no order, Bury, Shrewsbury, Walsall and Hartlepool.

I don't really know enough about League 2 to make any sensible predictions.

I do feel for you guys, although I think you will have enough to just stay up. Although it also depends on who joins and what morale is like.

Your backing us? A side that has never scored a goal on a neutral ground a side who rarely gets close enough to score on a neutral ground to win the play-offs?

Please, Please, Please DO NOT put any money on that.

Lol. Depends on who else, if anyone, signs for you, but I see your team as being a cut above the other teams who have a playoff shot. In fact League 1 was hard to predict now that there is no Leeds/ Charlton/ Wednesday/ Southampton/ Norwich with better resources than everyone else. The only team who can feel slightly hard done by to be there is Sheff U.

Seems like Portsmouth are gonna start the season on ZERO points. You can feel sorry for the fans but its getting less and less by the day for me.

The fact that they can sign ten players in one day is a disgrace. You've either got **** all in the bank or you haven't. At the end of the day sooner they go bust the better it will be for English football. They deserve all they get for trying to spend 35k a week on a player in league 1.

What is going on is basically cheating and the FA are either too stupid to realise it or they are just standing by and letting it happen. If there is any doubt that a club might not complete its fixtures then I would argue that they shouldn't start the season at all. What if a player gets injured against Portsmouth and then they go out of business later on in the season? A side is without a player from a game that other teams don't have to play.

Its back people!!

Game 1 tonight - Cardiff V Huddersfield

Cannot Wait!!

hi mate don't want to start a row but who are we trying to spend 35k on these players have joined on one month deals and are trying to help this club out we are starting on 0 points but when we leave admin we will get the 10 point deduction and if a player gets injured thats life you can't get a player injured and then blame it on a club its gonna happen in football im afraid

anyway is this lee williamson guy we have signed any good

2-0 down at Derby and managed to pull it back is a point IMO. Derby have a good youngish squad, and i think it shows that in our first two games (Oldham and Derby) to come back from two goals down, and win/draw that we have good spirit and players that always try their best.

I thought you were paying Ben-Haim that or something like last season. Didn't realise I put League 1 sorry just get carried away when ranting. Don't get me wrong I have nothing against the fans and have always seemed very passionate and always bring decent crowds to Bramall Lane its the owners I have my gripe with.

Thing that gets me about the whole affair is when a similar thing happened with Leeds the FA moved the goalposts by changing the rules. I think most United fans feel aggrieved because ever since the parachute payments stopped after relegation from the Premier League we've had to try and cut costs and build again. We have ourselves to blame in the fact that we had the chance to get back up there but threw it away. Thing is when we look at the plight of our club and the way Portsmouth owners have carried on spending money knowing full well that this money they haven't got and have still carried on anyway it does sort of hit home.

You can tell Trevor Birch is in charge btw by the amount of ex-Blades in the side.

As for Williamson he is a good player when he turns it on. Our most attacking play last season came down the right wing as he and Matty Lowton linked up well together even if he is only there for a month he should make a big difference.

Also I thought the general consensus from Pompey fans was that they wanted the club winding up just so this whole affair will end, is this true or is what I'm hearing wrong??

Dagenham away tonight.

Horrible long journey, but well worth it if we get 3 points!

I wouldn't be too bothered if they were players from non-league teams or whatever but guys like Willo and Howard some Championship sides would love to have. Cheats through and through for me, may sound harsh but when you see what the FA did to Rovrum and then look at all the help they're giving Portsmouth it asserts my belief that the FA have significant bias or at very least favoritism towards certain sides.

If it was us in the mire could you really see them giving us all this help? No, me neither and we'd probably have been liquidated 6 months ago. After all the grief we gave them over Tevez they'd just love to do something like that.

F+*K me a united fan who's not going "Well hahahaha Wednesday are going down **** wednesday there **** i'd put my house on them to go down. Finally.... I <3 you mate.

First managerial casualty. Coventry City's Andy Thorn

Stupid. Either sack him in the summer or commit to giving him a bit more time, at least 6 games. Sacking him after 3 games achieves nothing. They now have a manager who will come in and have no time to work with the players before the first matchday, or any time to make any transfers.

Reminds me of us when we sacked Blackwell 2 games in.

We were relegated that season.

You missed the point, they havent come out of liquidation danger yet, hence no 10 points. Once they are out of liquidation and in admn, they will be hit by a 10 point deduction

We understand that but the main gripe I have is how come they haven't been docked 30 points or 15 points like Luton or Rotherham were. It's stupid how they've been able to get away with it for so long.
