There nothing to say he's got worse, he just hasn't got a sniff with VDV Bale and Lennon playing so well. He was signed when his contract had a few months to go, so EVerton took a small fee rather than lose for free, now i i magine he has a fair while to go on his contract, so commands a decent fee.

He combined very well for us down the left with Baines. Was a great combo

The other argument is he's a proven premier league player with plenty of experience and more than enough talent to do well in this league, 5 million starts to look like a good deal for most teams outside the top 6.
