I can't say I have any sympathy with the clubs who have broken the PL pact on red list Countries and allowed their players to travel.

Understand your point, but this was not the clubs fault. As I understand the 4 PL players lied to immigration about where they have been to escape quarantine. Idiotic thing to do.
