Seconded. It already drains my soul out of me when I watch the beautiful game become more like American sports with every passing year. The football I grew up was a people's game, something that connects cities and communities. Now it's just a business. If Super League were to happen I'm jumping off that train, thank you very much.

But like Scouse says, it's just an empty threat really. In an unlikely even that an honest man somehow becomes the head of UEFA, rich clubs would use it to blackmail UEFA and beat it into submission.

Yeah none of this is surprising, I didn't expect baldy to have more spine than his predecessors. The only way to fix UEFA and FIFA is if they became a publicly traded company. Then there's regulations you follow, financial transparency is required and enforced by law, and so on and so on.

Right now it's just such a bizarre institution. Technically they're a non-profit, but they also oversee the most profitable sport on the planet. So of course there's gonna be corruption, it's unavoidable. If Jesus finally comes back and becomes head of UEFA, he'd become corrupt within a week.

The whole thing is a farce.

I read somewhere that 4-5 clubs refused. If remembering correctly Wolves, Leicester, Watford and Fulham

I assume that transfer ban is coming for husseling with kids (as bad it can sound). The financial scandal can bring them bigger impact in losing points etc.

Talking to a journalist friend this week all the Scudamore stuff came out this past week to deflect from one of those clubs all over the news prior to that.

Where L’pool to win the league this year/ the coming years, it’d be the greatest achievment of all their 19 titles for me by a Country mile given not only the financial disparity you’re up against now. But City not playing on a level FFP playing field.

So far this season.... Leeds Utd have had the FIFTH most games selected for Sky coverage in the whole of England, ahead of #MUFC and #LFC Also worth noting that #LUFC bagged circa £7.7m from TV money last season while PL teams bagged from between a staggering £95m-£150m

But things might be improving to make the playing field more fair.

So. VAR set to be fast-tracked into the knock-out stages of this years CL.

Great to see the end of the usless, stick waving bizzies behind the goal.

Judgement reserved on VAR. Hopefully UEFA have it down 100% accurate and at a proficient pace unlike the carnage of the English experiments.

City won't face anything, all the 'leaks' pre-date the settlement. Uefa already knew all of these issues, and changed the rules again in 2015 which made the issue irrelevant. Only overinflating deals is still an issue as far as I'm aware, which is the PSG sponsorship deal.
