Working under that humongous C____!!!! Purslow aside, 🤬, I couldn't think of a better stepping stone back down South for Gerrard.

Villa are a traditional, massive club. With the support and trophy history to back that up. The preverbal sleeping giant And Dean Smith has left the club in a tremendously healthy position. Really good squad with the best crop of young kids they've had coming through in a generation. And he'll be backed in the transfer market. They are set up to continue moving forward. Plus he wouldn't have to relocate to Birmingham per se given it's just down the M6.

He couldn't wish for a better set-up if he wants to make a first statement in English football as a manager.

Although it will be proper weird having him managing against us like.

Think it is good move for both. I understand why Rangers are butthurt, but he needs a bit bigger challenge if he wants to try and jump on dream move for Pool. Taking steps and learning from mistakes and wins is good way. Wil be interesting too see how he will get the flowing back into that squad

Seems like Lampard to Norwich. Dont see him fighting against relegation and getting back to PL will not be easy either.

thay will come back up the next season if thay go down too good for the elf just not very good for the prem

Dont think so.
Cantwell and Pukki are last year of contract (+ option to extendfor year). Think they want to offload Cantwell or he will walk free. Kabak, Normann, Gilmour, Williams are loanes. They are horrible right now and with drop lose some players. Mabye if Chelsea will offer the loan army to him like they did with Derby.
Definetly will be challenge and place to prove for Lampard.
Ofcourse if he joins them

Rangers can eat ****. Clubs are binning managers midseason all the time but when manager leaves on his own its suddenly unfair. Give me a break.

Dean Smith set to be confirmed as #Norwich head coach early next week. Was always #1 choice when it became clear he wanted a quick return after Villa (had talks with Webber at Huddersfield in ‘15). An excellent appointment. NB: Norwich play Villa on Dec 14 #ncfc

As mad as how they went around the Farke carnage they made for themselves, that would be a really smart move by Norwich looking toward next year and someone who's proven he can build something to get out of the Championship and stabilise a club in the PL.

I don't agree with what Villa and Norwich did this early with Smith and Farke. But they've both come out it excellently with the appointments they've made.

Not content with kicking off at every group game and putting the Croatia lad in intensive care, now they are 'officially' banned from a game. Not that they won't travel. Which will be 'fun' as Vienna are F nuts too! 🤦🏼‍♂️

Unfortunately 'fans' can't be stopped from travelling but they can keep them out of the stadium. No sightseeing in Vienna in the days leading up to the W Ham game for anyone with a British accent (the Austrian Police and troublemakers won't make distinction).

Well let's hope at least the Vienna Art School remains open for visitors. The last time a guy couldn't get in ended up causing some trouble.

They’ve dropped lucky now Austria has gone into full lockdown. They’ll get a full refund on booked trips now.

Slightly worrying for Milan in a few weeks. Italys cases are rising but still manageable.

See where we Stand this time next week.
