The Return of Z.Z

Nice start Ross. Assuming you're going to end up @Man City soon-ish, i would have preferred more of a challenge, but i may well be proved wrong, i hope i am.

Today was the most shocking and full on day I have ever had in my life and rather than me blabble on about what happened i'm just going to take you to the France24 report that interupted an English programme called 'Gavin and Stacey'.

Senegal_The_pilgrimage_of_Touba_France24.jpg

(Translated into English)

We apologize for the interuption of this programme but we have been told to call in an emergency report. The now former manager of Manchester City has now been pronounced dead after he was found in his appartment lying of the floor in casual clothes. Paramedics pronounced him dead 10 minutes ago and police believe that the cause of death is homocide. The murderer may have been made quite obvious due to the fact that above the body written in blood were the words 'ZZ. Colpo di testa'. We are currently unsure what the letter ZZ stand for but we do believe that the words 'colpo di testa' mean headbutt. We will inform you when we have any more information.

Roberto Martinez
1973-2009

So, Roberto died and the letters ZZ were written in blood and what are my initials? ZZ. I was the first suspect in the murder, but when I watched this report that didn't even come to mind because after that my phone rang. 'Unknown Number'. I still answered it and the person who was on the other end was Sheikh Mansour.
"Hello?"
"Hello, it's Sheikh Mansour here. Is this Zinedine Zidane?"
"Yes it is, infact I wanted to rind you myself."
"Is it about a job application by you?"
"Yes, I applied for the job of Manchester City and when you announced Roberto as manager I didn't have an e-mail from you. Did you recieve my application?"
"Unfortunatley no, but I should have done. I was checking through my 'Recycle Bin' and and e-mail from your address was there and it was your application and well by time I had read it, it was too late to undo the decision to make Roberto manager."
"So.. why do you want to ring me? "
"I would like to inform you that now sadly Roberto is unable to take control of the club I have chosen you to be his succesor."
"Seriously!! But, what about the fact that I am a suspect for the murder of him?"
"I trust you. I am hoping and trusting you to admit it wasn't you."
"It wasn't me."
"That's OK then. I would like you to inform a meeting tommorow with me and some more important people from the club to discuss about your job. Thank you. Bye"
'Bye"

I could not believe it I had become manager of Manchester City, while I was a murder suspect. I was safe though because the police and Sheikh kept the fact that I was both a secret. Most people believe I could be a suspect because of ZZ but the police have not confirmed it and Sheikh will not announce the new manager untill I am cleared of murder.

I woke up this morning unknown what the **** was going to happen at this meeting, I was nervous out of my boots not only becuase of the meeting but because what if the press saw me enter a building with Sheikh? They would automatically know I am either near to getting the job or have the job. So, I got up early, 7am, and got straight into the shower. I got dressed into my nicest suit, Giorgio Armani, and put on my nicest aftershave, yet again Armani. I got out my brand new briefcase and put some paper, pens and all the stuff you would need at a meeting and brought my laptop. I drove there, took about an hour.

When I finally got there I purposely parked my car in the back car park this massive building in Paris. I walked in got in the elevator and went to floor 5 like I was told by the receptionist. I arrived and the doors opened. It was a giant room with one big table with Sheikh right up one end of it and an empty seat at the other end. I guessed it was my seat and sat down there. Sheikh welcomed me and showed me everyone there.

After hours of talking and discussing I think I had finally taken in everything and checked my laptop over to make sure I typed it all up. Yep, I was sure I had everything. I said goodbye and made my way home. When I got home I checked it over again and made sure I was happy with what the club wanted from me and what they were willing to give me if I did what they wanted.

What they wanted was Premier League winners, it is going to be a hard challenge, but with at least 150m pounds going to be given to me to try and complete there demands I was happy.

I looked at the clock it was 11pm at night, time went so fast. It was time to go to bed, tommorow I have an interregation with the Police and I can't be tired for that.

I woke up this morning feeling exactly the same as I did yesterday morning, nervous out of my boots. This was the day that really determined weather I kept the job as manager or not. I knew I was innocent but the police didn't think that and neither did the press, everyone was against me execpt Sheikh. Someone had purposely set me up so it seemed like I murdered Roberto, but I did not and I needed to show the Police that.

I sat on my sofa with the room dead silent, waiting for the Police to come and escort me to the station. When I heard the knocking at the door I straight away went and answered it, thankfully it was the police and I was taken into the van and driven to somewhere where they would interrogate me...

police-france.jpg

I finally arrived and I was in this dark room with just a table and two chairs. There was one man already in there, he was obviously going to interrogate me.

After hours and hours of questions from this man he eventually asked for a DNA sample and my fingerprints. I gave them both knowing I was innocent.

I was told to stay there while they investigated them, then the man came back into the room. The words he said were the best words I had ever heard in my lifetime. "You are cleared of the murder of Roberto Martinez". I felt like screaming "YES!!!!" and running around the room however I just answered with a simple "Thank You" and went on my way to be escorted back home.

When I got home I rang Sheikh told him the news and then straight awayI was pronounced manager of Manchester City. He told me I had a budget of 260m pounds. That was plenty for what I wanted to do. He then told me that the budget had just become 257.5m pounds because we had just signed Victor Moses from Wigan Athletic for 2.5m pounds. It was obviously the transfer that Roberto started and the chairman finished for me. He then told me that I have a friendly match against Preston in four days. I thought that was a bit early but at least I can test out the squad I had. Sheikh then informed me that they had already replaced most of the backroom staff except Assistant Manager and another Coach. I already I had some people in mind for those jobs so it was perfect. He then just hung up.

Then the first thing I did was ring the whole squad and arange a meeting at the stadium and anyone who did not turn up would be put on the transfer list. When I got there not everyone was there so unfortunatly so players where put up for transfer within a few hours of me becoming manager. Those players were Shay Given, Joleon Lescott, Emanuel Adebayor and Craig Bellamy. I was sad to have to put these players up for transfer as they were all going to play a major part in my team.

I gave everyone that turned up a speech and told them that if they did not play well they would probably be sold. I also told them that there will be some changes round here and many players may be sold anyway to make way for better ones. I thenm apologized if that was them and said goodbye.

When I got home it was only 3pm, so I decided to ring the person who I would like as my assistant manager. I told them how much I would pay them and they accpeted the job. Even though we were rivals with his former team he still joined us. I had just signed Joe Jordan as my new assistant manager. I was extremly happy with this because I knew he would fit in perfect with the team and what I wanted to do with the team.

I woke up this morning and thought about the speech I made last night and realised that if I was going to sell the useless players then I needed to do it now to get the right price for them. So, I looked through the squad and decided to put these players up for sale.

glad to see youre not selling adam Johnson.

£260 million
And have you already got David Silva, Toure, Belotelli etc?
I thought they only got about £103 million.
Anyway I'm enjoying the writing skill and detail.
Trying to emulate Eds success?
I am :L
