Wesley Sneijder is a beast of a signing.
Well done mate.
What tactics are you using?

INURY CRISIS STRIKES AGAIN
Yet again, one of the clubs top players was injured in training today. Fernando Torres will be out for 10 days after he suffered a brusied thigh. I am now going to have to change my ways of training and I am going to leave this in the hands of my assistant manager.

Wesley Sneijder is a beast of a signing.
Well done mate.
What tactics are you using?

Either 4-3-3, 4-1-2-1-2 with two central midfielders making runs to wings or 4-1-2-1-2 with two wide men

With injuries hitting right, left and center to the squad I had to make some changes. Today was my second Premier League game in charge against Portsmouth and I decided to try out my assistant manager's idea of a team with a 4-1-2-1-2 formation...

Igor Afinkeev GK, Aleksandar Kolarov LB, Jerome Boateng RB, Micah Richards CB, Giorgio Chiellini CB, DMC Yaya Toure, Mesut Ozil MC, Wesley Sneijder MC, Franck Ribery AMC, Edin Dzeko FW, Robinho FW

Subs: Joe Hart GK, Jack Rodwell DM, Luis Suarez FW, Wayne Bridge LB, Omer Toprak CB, Carlos Tevez FW, Luka Modric AM LRC

Manchester City 3-2 Portsmouth FC

Man of the Match

dzeko-edin.jpg

Edin Dzeko

This match was an extremely nerve racking one, Portsmouth took the lead after 19 minutes through John Utaka, then I saw a rare goal from defensive midfielder Yaya Toure which made it equal, we then took the lead after,Edin Dzeko scored a brilliant goal from 20 yards out, then unfortunately Kolorov gave away a penalty but luckily did not get a card at all!! John Utaka scored it for Portsmouth in the 59th minute and it was all equal yet again. Franck Ribery then scored through a great tap in to give us the win in the 65th minute.

This puts us 6th, and two points away from top Arsenal, if we get a couple more wins in the bag we will go first.

Nice story there mate, Too many signings i think, Look at Signing Sergio Canales, he is a beast later on in the game.
Im Following to :)

Nedum Onuoha on loan to Birmingham till the end of the season.

I think this is the right club for Nedum to receive some experience over this season.

Hello There readers i will be doing a column here on FourFourTwo once a week or so here we go. Ok so the first thing id like to talk about this week is our capture of Wesley Sneijder Oh god i cannot wait to see him week after week and im sure the fans will feel the same. Already i can see that were gather a quality and skillfull squad but obviously it will be hard to gel all these Individuals into a team but with our No nonsense attitude im sure well sort the mice from the men soon enough. Another bit of dealing was Stephen Ireland Going out on loan, im glad to see the young man go out on loan and get some games, he has the ability to be top class but i think it would be unfair for him to sit and rot on out bench.

Now the match with Portsmouth, what a great advertisement for english football, not so good for my heart though, John Utaka impressed me today some wicked speed i predict him to do well this year.

Lastly what i want to have a bit of a complain about is that, Well the state of the debt some teams are in, i think the wages and the transfer money being paid at the minute is shockingly high, in my day we played football for the love and we played it the right way.

Thanks for your time and hopefully youll come back.

This was going to be the first ever match as manager that I am going to have to win. It was the game against Bolton Wanderers in the second round of the League Cup. If we lost, we were out of the cup and I could be sacked. I could not risk that. Although, I had Kolo Toure and Adam Johnson both back from injury. So I didn't play I weakened team at all, I put out my strongest team using the 4-3-3 formation...

Igor Akinfeev GK, Aleksandar Kolarov LB, Jerome Boateng RB, Giorgio Chiellini CB, Kolo Toure CB, Franck Ribery ML, Mesut Ozil MC, Wesley Sneijder MR, Edin Dzeko FW, Robinho FW, Luis Suarez FW

Subs: Joe Hart GK, Carlos Tevez FW, Yaya Toure DMC, Omer Toprak DC, Adam Johnson ML, Luka Modric AM, Victor Moses FW

Wesley Sneijder. 90th minute. Goal. I could not believe it. It was 0-0 all throughout the match, I was prepping myself for penalties but then out of nowhere Wesley Sneijder gets past all the defenders and smashes it into the top left corner. I lept out of my seat and celebrated with Wesley. I was overwelmed.

I did make a few subs in the game, at half time I brought of Giorgio Chiellini for Omer Toprak and in the 64th minute brought of Luis Suarez for Carlos Tevez.

Mesut-ozil.jpg

Mesut Ozil is going to be out for 10 days after he suffered a bruised jaw in training. He is another player to be injured in training and I am expecting Marsell to send me a new training reseme so I can prevent this.

Today we also drew Bristol Rovers in the Third Round of the League Cup/Carling Cup. Hopefully they should be easier that Bolton. We also have to play Hull at home today, I think they will be easy. But you can never tell in the Premier League, anything could happen. Because of this I still decided to play a strong squad...

Igor Afinkeev GK, Aleksandar Kolalov LB, Jerome Boateng RB, Giorgio Chiellini CB, Kolo Toure CB, Franck Ribery ML, Luka Modric MC, Wesley Sneijder MR, Edin Dzeko FW, Robinho FW, Carlos Tevez FW

Scout Report
I was over the moon when I checked on how Stephen Ireland and Nedum Onuoha were getting along on loan at Aston Villa and Sunderland. They have both played two games and each scored a goal. That is brillaint for Nedum because he's a defender. I definately won't hesitate to recall one of them if needed.

Today I recieved a bid for Shay Given from Bolton, I rejected the bid as it only consisted of 550k, I believe his real value is at least 5M pounds, and even though he didn't attend the meeting at the begining of the season. Today was also the transfer deadline. I was also extremely annoyed as we were so close to signing Eljero Elia for 15M but he didn't sign a contract in time and the transfer was cancelled. So, I will definately go back for him in January.

I was eating my breakfast this morning when I heard by Blackberry beep. It was a text from Sheikh.

blackberry_curve.jpg

"Hi Zinedine, would just like to inform you that Wayne Rooney has been transfer listed by Alex Ferguson and Sir Alex has said that he will accept offers of around 25M. I suggest you pounce on this oppurtunity.
Good Luck
Sheikh"
I was sitting there thinking, is it worth signing Wayne, I mean he would be moving straight to a rival team! However, if I offered him a good enough contract he would probably accept.

I have now spent the whole day thinking and still haven't made a decision.
Should I Sign Him?

Sign him, but I doubt he will go.

I tried signing Chicharito, offering him 400k per week - still says that he doesn't want to join a rival club :D
