Manchester United have today confirmed the signing of the Welsh Winger Gareth Bale for a fee of £19M and he has joined on a 3 1/2 year deal. Gareth Bale, who had been placed on the transfer list on the 1st January 2014, after a dramatic falling out with their manager Stuart Pearce who said that he had no time for the Welshman and wished him luck in the future. Sir Ryan Giggs has spoken regarding the signing of Gareth Bale,

'He is an incredible signing for us, I've managed and played alongside the boy for Wales and he has fast become one of the most vital players in the squad. I certainly hope that he can have an influence on us this season. I feel that wingers is a place where we are particularly short.'

Gareth Bale arrived at the Manchester United training ground to complete his medical earlier today. It is widely expected that he will go straight into the squad to face Wolves in the weekend away at the Molineux where Manchester United will hope to continue their fantastic run of form so far this year. With the signing of Gareth Bale, Manchester United have a number of quality wingers that can influence any game, being Juan Manuel Vargas, Nani, Xabi Prieto and Antonio Valencia. It is likely that the United boss will favour Nani on the right and Gareth Bale on the left as their first choice.

Manchester United meet their match

680.png

Manchester United face a Wolverhampton Wanderers side who have been good value so far this season with them currently lying in 10th position exceeding expectations. One of the main reasons for the great success for Wolves has been down to their Welsh star in midfield Andy King who has got real ability and can control any game.

Wolves Key Man:

League Apps: 17
League Goals: 3
League Assists: 2

Andy King has been in great form for Wolves so far this season and has been since he first arrived back in 2011. This season he has began to add goals to his game and scored some great goals it will be important for Manchester United to close him down at all times.

Sir Ryan Giggs is expected to name Gareth Bale in the starting 11 as Manchester United as they plan to continue their fabulous run so far in this years Premier League. In the home tie Manchester United won 3 - 0 after a double from Chicharito and a single from Wayne Rooney.

Wolverhampton Wanderers pulled out a performance from the top drawer during the first half as they stormed to a 2 - 0 scoreline. Manchester United were very slow starters today, and Wolves roared into action with that man Andy King scoring a fabulous strike from the edge of the area beating Jason Steele in the United goal. Wolves continued pushing forward and in the 37th minute got their reward another great strike from distance as Anouar Diba picked the ball up and unleashed an unstoppable effort past the despairing United keeper. The turning point came suddenly when James Tomkins went in two footed and hard on United star Chicharito.

Sir Ryan Giggs must have given the Red Devils a royal hair dryer in the second half as they came out looking incredibly fired up. But despite this it took until the 64th minute as new signing Gareth Bale worked well down the left flank with the cross deflecting off a couple of defenders before Wayne Rooney was there to lash one in from close range. Manchester United then secured the draw in the 84th minute as Nani played a fabulous ball over the top for Chicharito who took it around Wayne Hennessey before firing it into the back of the net. It was a great comeback for the Red Devils, but people will ask if James Tomkins hadn't have made that harsh challenge whether United would still have their unbeaten record.

Didn't see that one coming! owel its done now but just try and build around it and build on for the next game! keeping up a good spirit is vital! :)

Can Manchester United bounce back...?

680.png

Manchester United look to bounce back after dropping their first points of the season away to Wolves 4 days ago after a poor first half showing that despite an attacking second half they were unable to overturn the two goal deficit that they fell behind with. Manchester United now face a Stoke City side that have been struggling for form and are currently lying in 20th position in the table. Stoke City have been disappointing since bouncing back from the Championship on their first attempt. Manchester United Legend David Beckham spoke regarding the up coming game against the Potters.

'Stoke City are a tough team to face regardless of their position in the table they are a team that can pull something out of the bag. I think that if we can get back to winning ways then it will show the teams around us that the Wolves game was just a blip and show them what we can do.'

Manchester United bounced back in some fashion against the Potters with a resounding 3 - 0 victory. The scoring was opened by the young striker Javier Hernandez after he was played through expertly by the tireless right back Rafael, to slot a well placed finish past Begovic. The second goal came after Chicharito turned supplier as he played a wonderfully weighted ball through for Wayne Rooney to finish with a powerful effort. The final goal was a trade mark set up, as Legendary midfielder David Beckham came off the bench to put a fabulous cross into the near post for Jonny Evans to rifle home a powerful left footed volley.

Manchester United threw away their memories of the 2 - 2 draw at the Molineux just last week with a strong performance where they out muscled Wolves all over the pitch. Wolves were however missing their most influential player Andy King after suffering a knock on his ankle in the warm up. This certainly showed as Manchester United romped to a 3 - 1 away victory.

The opening goal was wonderfully well worked effort where the two new Manchester United signings linked up brilliantly with David Beckham lifting a inch perfect pass to Gareth Bale who fired a well struck effort past Wayne Hennessey to make it 1 - 0. World Class central midfielder Marc Jones scored a powerful effort from the edge of the area after some good work by Antonio Valencia to make it 2 - 0.

The final United goal came in the 82nd minute after Michael Nelson worked the ball well down the right flank. David Beckham picked up man of the match after rolling back the years to provide a midfield master class. He was the main creative force carving Wolves apart on several occasions. The victory was marred however after Fabio Coentrao went off with a broken arm early in the second half.

Manchester United put in a counter attacking master class against Spurs today, with Chicharito being the main out ball for the Red Devils. The opening goal came after a wonderfully lofted ball from Marc Jones to Chicharito who took the ball expertly around the keeper before placing the ball in an empty net. 5 minutes later Gareth Bale was the provider against his old team after passing the ball to Nani who smashed in a close range shot to make it 2 - 0. Rooney turned provider for the 3rd goal as he put in a great cross to the near post with Gomes coming into no man's land but the little Mexican beat him to the ball and fired the ball into an empty net. Chicharito was the man who set up the 4th goal when played the ball into Fletcher's feet he turned and fired a low hard shot at the goal that beat Gomes, who should really have done better with this effort.

Manchester United have one hand on the Premier League trophy as they destroyed their closest rivals thanks to a Wayne Rooney hat trick. Manchester United however conceded the first goal after a great ball from Dominic Criscito put Gervinho through he fired a close range finish to make it 1 - 0. Up until this point Chelsea looked comfortable and when they scored something must have clicked with United because what came next was nothing sort of sensational.

Javier Hernandez opened the scoring for the Red Devils after firing a close range finish thanks to a whipped cross from Luis Nani. Gareth Bale then showed his creative flair as just 4 minutes later he fired a powerful cross into the box and Wayne Rooney fired his first of three high into the net past Petr Cech. Wayne's second goal was the pick of the match as Jonny Evans played the ball to the United striker before he turned and fired a left footed shot in off the right hand post. Wayne's fourth came from a forward pass from Patrice Evra he beat David Luiz before smashing a left footed shot past Petr Cech who hardly moved.

Is this the Wembley Way...?

680.png

Manchester United face a Wolves side that they previously defeated 3 - 1 in the first away leg and will no doubt look to improve on that and win comfortably where they will either face Chelsea or Nottingham Forest in the Final at Wembley. David Beckham earns another start for the Red Devils today as he's named in midfield alongside Marc Jones.

Manchester United were unconvincing in their second leg victory, but the stand out performer was once again David Beckham who scored an absolute pearler as he unleashed a 30 yard effort that beat the despairing Wayne Hennessey in the Wolves goal. It was an incredible effort from the 38 year old Legendary Midfielder who has recently exclaimed his delight of being given the opportunity to once again represent the Red Devils. He has certainly hit the ground running with 5 assists and 1 goal in his first 7 matches.

The fans were chanting David Beckham's name long after the match ended as the Legendary midfielder was once again impressing the Stretford Enders, as he bossed a game against a strong Wolverhampton side.

Manchester United now face Chelsea at Wembley in the Carling Cup Final on the 2nd March 2014 after defeating Wolves 5 - 2 on aggregate. The will no doubt be delighted with the way they have qualified for the final defeating Liverpool, Leeds and Sheffield United on their journey to the final and will no doubt be looking to lift the League Cup for the fifth time. There has been a surprise winner in 2 out of the last 3 seasons will Blackburn lifting the trophy on the two occasions, as well as United bitter rivals Liverpool.

It was two emphatic victories for the favourites in the Semi Final with Chelsea romping to a 7 - 3 aggregate win. This came after an incredibly tight first leg where Nottingham Forest lost 4 - 3, but there was no surprise victory at Stamford Bridge as Chelsea controlled the game and came out on top comfortably. Manchester United dominated Wolverhampton in their 2 legs and there was a landmark goal for David Beckham who has performed out of his skin, since arriving on 1st January.

Manchester United's focus is now turning to the FA Cup 3rd Round Tie against Bournemouth on the 1st February at Old Trafford.

BEKCHAMM!! TAKE A BOW SON!!
