The San Marino Revolution - A BaP Story

Wow. Under a 7.0 rating and still won YPotY. Everyone else must have sucked.
Or perhaps it should've been awarded to the other guys at 2nd & 3rd position but Delirious del Conte slide-tackled the both of them en route to the ceremony.

Ouch...Deportivo missed direct promotion by goal average (and later lost promotion playoffs against another team which got higher in the league table by goal average).

Juggernaut to Man.City, it's kind of a double edged sword of a move. Sure it means a huge leap forward in his career but getting first team football in City... Hopefully he'll get loans on top flight teams to keep improving.

.P.S.: Sporting couldn't get into Europa League at the end, a pity... But at least they did a good season.

Oh Barry, to go from Barcelona where you only got 3 games to going to City who won't play him either!

Such a shame as he was smashing it at Deportivo!

Hope he at least gets a loan to someone half decent though.

Great updates mate

I am still awaiting my major breakthrough season! On a positive note now worth over £1m haha

City are starting to get a collection of San Marinese players now!

44 appearances in Hawkins' first season in English football? Nice

I went to look at Naterr's stats for the season and it took me a while to find him! I usually look at the players with the least amount of game time and he is usually there so I was stumped haha!!

Nice to see him getting some good game time! time for Luigi to take stage!

Next update will be the 2019 review for the San Marino national team...

Insane! France and Holland in our group too!

o_O

It finally happened!

Mandatory fanfare time

In a group with Netherlands and France we managed to get through, even we beat the oranje 3-1. Impressive, simply impressive.
At last the revolution is starting.
.P.S.: And Zonta has a number with Barça's first team ^^ (even though 2 is an odd choice for a winger)

Fixtures:

View attachment 260097

What a year! I said in the last national team update that I hoped we could carry some confidence and momentum into the qualifiers from our performance in the European Nations League and we certainly did that! Consecutive 3-2 victories at home to France (Zonta x2, Del Conte) and away to Holland (Weight, Romeo, Zonta) propelled us up our qualifying group and the 1-0 win away in Armenia courtesy of Matthew Harrison sends us to the 2020 European Championship!

World Ranking:

View attachment 260095

The wins against France and Holland saw us shoot up the world rankings, getting to as high as 24th at one point! We end the year in 33rd, a massive jump of 79 places from last year...

Best 11:

1) Daniele Del Conte (41 caps)
2) Matthew Hawkins (36 caps)
3) Luigi Naterr (33 caps)

Next update will be the mid-season review...

36 caps and the Euros, Hawkins' national team career is looking good

Mid-Season Update - 2018/2019
View attachment 260082
Transfers:

Francesco Luciano Selva - Roma to Ascoli (loan)
Daniele Del Conte - Atletico Madrid to Chelsea (£15,500,000)
Maximiliano Rizzoli - Bordeaux to Stade Rennais (£1,500,000)
Aidan Dickson - Roma to Zwolle (loan)
Reuben Gotts - Real Madrid to Dijon (£625,000)
Stefano Zonta - Barcelona to Cagliari (£2,500,000)
Fabio Lovano - Real Madrid to Deportivo (loan)

Player Stats:

View attachment 260080View attachment 260079

Hugh Conron and Matthew Harrison are both enjoying good loan spells, however they are only playing in the third and second tier of their divisions respectively. Full backs Naterr and Burrini are enjoying solid seasons at Porto and Milan, with Naterr finally getting the first choice rb slot at Porto after 2 separate loan spells in Belgium. Centre midfielders Hawkins, Romeo and Del Conte are all putting in good performances in top flight football, however the likes of Xyloto, D'Aniello, Mason and Shaw have found first team starts hard to come by.

League Tables:

There are almost too many different leagues involving our players to give any in detail discussion. Hawkwind's Blackburn, despite a disappointing individual season so far, are pushing for promotion as are Selva's Ascoli. Gotts and Rizzoli are stuck in a relegation battle in Ligue 1 with Dijon and Rennais respectively. Burrini's Milan side have no chance with trying to retain their league title, whilst Roberts and Weight have a chance to win the Ligue 1 with PSG.

Next update will be the end of season review, which will hopefully include a squad announcement and group draw for the European Championships...
