Other way around, surely? O'Neill played the rigid game, Houllier's playing a more expansive and fluid one. Of course, one that is also reducing our defensive solidity. I want him out, frankly, but I'm willing to give him a transfer window to persuade me.

No idea how much Fofana costs, but can't be too much considering his contract is running out soonish.
 
Back on topic, Carlton Cole would be a bit of a strange signing in my opinion, I think that Liverpool definitely need a new striker as they simply don't have enough strikers but is Cole the right man to go for. I heard they were looking at Kenwyne Jones a while back before he went to Stoke so it would appear that they think a strong target man is what they need, Carlton can be a good player on his day but he is too inconsistent for my liking and has a habit of disappearing out of games sometimes.

If a big target man at a knockdown price is what you're looking for, someone who can hold the ball up and play in Torres, then I'm afraid there is only one man for the job.

Could be a bargain.

Apparently a lot of the senior players at Villa dislike him. It'll definitely be an interesting window with how many players are supposedly getting shipped out, if he gets the players he wants to play his football he could still come good.

Villa fans reckon they dislike him because he replaced O'Neills archaic and light training schedules with a more modern, more strenuous one. It's probably the reason why so many have got injured, as well as why Fatty Dunne doesn't like him. I dunno, I hope he succeeds.

Dunne said there's a focus on attacking in training too, and blames it for why the defence is leaking goals like a sieve at the moment.
