Spurs and the rest of the Premier League have only played three games each and many don't believe that Tottenham can keep hold of top spot as the so called big four haven't really gotten into gear yet.

Tottenham have also concluded all their transfer activity and wrapped up their last signing in the very ending hours of the transfer window.

Tottenham Drawn Norwich In League Cup

View attachment 144140 View attachment 144105

Tottenham have been given one of the better Cup ties as they will see Norwich as a team they should easily beat. It should give the club the chance to rest a few top players as they save them for Premier League or Champions League matches.

Tottenham have won the League Cup four times and as most recent as 2008 where they came from behind to beat Chelsea.

The rest of the fixtures look like this.

You going to go for the league cup? or use it to blood new guys?

Good question from Drezy, I'd go for the League Cup, obviously early stages if you get good draws then play youngsters then play reserves but its nice to win a trophy, although you could possibly win the prem :D

It would be nice but hard to win Premier League. I will try youngsters and see how it goes. Good to get Chamberlain, henderson, Rodwell and Herrmann games.

This is astonishing! the development since i last checked! its an awesome read! quality and everything! extremly good detail and ah yer! perfect mate! 10 out of 10 so far! :) keep this up

Tottenham To Carry On Impressive Form

Saturday 11th September 2010

The form that Tottenham have been in will keep the Spurs fans excited for the upcoming fixtures. Jamie Redknapp has carried on from his fathers work and kept Tottenham as a creative form. The main thing Redknapp has done is to keep things the same. He has not changed anyone in the back room staff and has only improved the squad where he has too.

Players like Jordan Henderson, Jack Rodwell, Alex Chamerblain and Patrick Herrmann have all blended into the squad with ease and are sure to be in and around the squad this season. The fans are looking foward to seeing them play and are pleased that Redknapp has kept the core of the squad mainly English.

West Ham provided more than enough steele to test Tottenham. It was however Alex Chamberlain who opened the scoring with a well timed shot which fizzed past Robert Green in the West Ham goal. Matthew Upson equalised just 7 minutes later. It then became a contest with West ham applying more pressure than Spurs. The final goal came on the 30th minute through a superb Jermain Defoe effort which saw him volley in from 15 yards out. The ball was crossed in by Patrick Herrmann but headed out by Wayne Bridge but it fell to Defoe who connected with the ball brilliantly and watched it teasingly dip into the net.

A match which saw the travelling Tottenhan fans see something quite spectacular. Spurs cruised to an emphatic win out in Russia tonight which not many people who have expected to see. Spurs who will be expected to qualify after this game and perhaps even top the group. Rafael Van Der Vaart was the heartbeat of this Spurs team as he kept them bouyed and led them like a true leader. Himself and Henderson played well together and kept the play going foward as both set up a goal each and scored one aswell. Henderson scored his first Tottenham goal and looked overjoyed after it celebrating with his teamates.

Man City and Tottenham played to an exciting stalemate. Both teams will be yearning for a top 4 finish so they can play in the Champions League again next year. Tottenham ended up on top last season and beat Man City to a top 4 finish. In this match Carlo Tevez opened the scoring but his goal was quickly matched by a Peter Crouch strike. Jermain Defoe netted another to take Tottenham into the lead. Just as Tottenham thought they were on the way to winning Man City's Edin Dzeko popped up and headed a James Milner cross in. The match finished 2-2 and deservedly so as both teams didn't deserve to lose.

You're getting some good results, keep going!

Where is Ashley Young, he didn't start for the last couple of games :$

Great updates. Love the story. I'm thinking of starting one with Liverpool too soon.

Tottenham To Start League Cup Run

Tuesday 21st September 210

Tottenham manager Jamie Redknapp will want to mount a serious challenge for in this cup. Many people assume the League Cup is often overlooked by managers and Jamie Redknapp has seen this competition as a test and a challenge for Tottenham to thrive under. Against Norwich it has been largely speculated that the Spurs manager will field a young team.

Norwich who are top of the Championship will feel they can challenge Tottenham and give them a good game. The Championship leaders could be a suprise package today and if Spurs don't play well they could see themselves embarrased by the Canaries.

On a dreary day Norwich had to sit back and let Tottenham dictate the play. As much as Spurs were good, Norwich were poor and never really threatened as they just couldn't get into their stride or string a good sequence of passes together. Ledley King was a rock at the back for Tottenham today relishing a first team outing which isn't too often these days. Ashley Young was once again in unstoppable form and smashed in 2 goals for Spurs today. Patrick Herrmann was also on the scoresheet, scoring his first for the club. Redknapp will be pleased with the result and hope the next rounds draw is kind to his team.

Some mouthwatering ties to be played within this round include, Liverpool hosting Man City at Anfield which will be the game everyone will be talking about, Arsenal will once again face strong competition in the form of Aston Villa this time and Chelsea have been gifted the round as they will host Peterborough who have been plucky enough to get to this round but will be more than certain to crash out to the Premier League champions.

Ashley Young's transfer now seems like a masterclass signing by Jamie Redknapp. Young has scored in most games he has been involved in and at the moment is keeping Jermain Defoe out of the team. He scored another goal today running free from the defence and then feinting the ball past Scott Carson in the West Brom goal and calmly rolled the ball over the line to open the scoring. Patrick Herrman also scored today aswell and will have enjoyed the run out as his confidence grows, he has now scored 2 goals in 2 games. Ledley King was Tottenham's lion today as he mopped up everything at the back ensuring West Brom's attacking play was dealt with. He also came up to score aswell. Powering in an Alex Chamberlain corner.

Another sizeable result in the circumstances. Sevilla who have been touted as Tottenham's toughest opponent in their group played well and controlled most of the game. Spurs were lucky to cling on to a point as the further the game went on the less likely it was they would still earn anything come the end of it. Luckily the inform Ashley Young and speed merchant Aaron Lennon scored early on in the first half. This result see's Tottenham slump to second in their table due to goal difference. Next up though is CFR Cluj.
