January Signings!
Tottenham Hotspur manager Glenn Hoddle wasted no time after the new transfer window opened in spending the £30'000'000 the club's board had given him following a successful period in charge so far.
Despite already having a very powerful strikeforce, Hoddle made it clear that in the window he intended to bolster his front line due to constant injuries hitting the team hard and putting alot of pressure on young striker Romelu Lukaku.
Following constant injuries, Glenn Hoddle began to monitor this player as a possible transfer target. This signing is viewed by some to be bad dealing, voicing their opinion that Hoddle has paid over the odds for the player, paying a fee worth around £60'000'000 + John Bostock, with £30'000'000 being paid in monthly installements over the next four years.
Despite some people's views, Hoddle feels this was great business following the large amount of revenue the club has brought in due to shirt sales following the big name transfer. This player has also made an instant return with goals for the clubs, notably scoring a brace on his debut.
The striker tallied up 22 goals, 5 assists and 8 MoM awards in only 19 games for his previous club so far this season and these stats are sure to 'wow' the Spurs following.
Hazard hopes to celebrate many at Spurs
Another expensive signing by the Tottenham manager but a player with alot of promise and one that is sure to give a good return for his fee. Hoddle has all his scouts give reports on the player and the conclusion was clear; Hazard will be a world star in years to come. The player joined Spurs from LOSC Lille Metropole for a fee of £17'500'000 with £7'500'000 being payed, again, over 4 years. The potential that this player has is sure to leave the Spurs fans in awe of their new player, who will be a top player for them in years to come in is sure to be sold, at some point, for more than he has been brought in for.
Roman, 16 years old, was Hoddle's final signing of the window and is the one with the most promise. Joan Angel has been tipped to become, in years to come, the best Midfielder in the world. Hoddle's scouts were the first to notice just how good he could become and tipped Hoddle to get his signature ASAP. Despite never seeing the boy in action, the gaffer fully trusted his staff and signed the player from league rivals Manchester City for just £850'000. A coup in the eyes of the manager, although other Prem managers will be wondering what Hoddle is doing spending that kind of money on a 16 year old.
Total spending : £40'850'000 & £27'500'000 in monthly installments over the next four years.

A very promising youngster but unfortunately Hoddle had to let him go as a make weight for his new mystery signing.
Spur's fans sad to see the back of Bentley
Despite being an excellent player and having done superbly well for Spurs, Hoddle felt as though the player was becoming less and less part of his plans and felt that an offer of £9'000'000 from Liverpool was simply too good to refuse. Glenn would like to wish him all the best at his new club.
Hoddle was just never going to play Carlo following the arrival of Drobny and the veteran goalkeeper was simply unnecessarily taking up space in the dressing room. The majority of the fans had a similar opinion and felt that Hoddle had done brilliantly to get £1'100'000 from Manchester City for the 36-year-old.
Kranjcar in search of first team football
Letting Niko go was a very tough decision for the manager but with Danny Rose in such good form and the recent arrival of Eden Hazard, Hoddle felt that Kranjcar was not going to get as much game time as he deserved and so loaned the player out to Zenit St Petersburg for a loan fee of £1'500'000 with the option for Zenit to buy the player at the end of the season.
Dawson sad to leave Spurs
Another very talented player that Hoddle was reluctant to let go of but Michael was in the very same situation as Niko, with the Spur's squad having great strength in depth, Dawson wasn't going to see much first team football. The manager decided to let the player go out on loan to Italian outfit Sampdoria for a loan fee of £600'000 also with the option to buy at the end of the loan for the Italian side.
Yet another play in the same boat. O'Hara has been loaned to HSV for a loan fee of around £500'000 with the option to buy at the end.
Total income : £12'700'000, with the bulk coming from the sale of David Bentley.
